I was worried about the return flight being long and arriving late but it is a mid afternoon game and the flight is much shorter than I thought (only about 3 hours). Barring an extra inning affair our Cards should touchdown by around midnight and be tucked away by 1AM.
I hope Paul Goldschmidt hits one over the mountain in center field!

If he doesn’t strike out, maybe…If my calculations are correct, he has struck out 18 times in 14 games which puts him on par for 208 strikeouts on the year. But, he has hit 6 HRs which puts him on par for 69 HRs on the year too (assumes playing every game). I’d forgive 208 SOs if he hits 40-50 HRs and has 120 RBIs. Time will tell.
We are still 7 Spanish speaking posters away from being able to conduct today’s game thread. We know you are out there…..Nyquist? Euro? Minuteman3? UCONN? Booyah? Stlcards25 & Cardinals27, CardinalsRedsox4Ever? Scotty? Jags? Anybody?

About all I know in Spanish is to count to 15, or so, and one of my favorite phrases, “asi es la vida”. Such is life….
It seems to be a good omen when you assign these inappropriate names to players, Rats. Since you called the lefty “Cecil Miller” he has three scoreless outings on one hit, no walks and four strikeouts. Based on that, Goldchmidt should bust out soon and you can move on to pick on another slumping player. There will always be someone.

If you can count to 15 in Spanish, you’re in, Cardinals27! Maybe we can have you count the balls and strikes and outs. I think we can even have you tally the hits as there’s no way our Cards will come close to exceeding 15, if ladt night’s game was any indication.

Goldy got off to a bad start last year then really turned it on. Here are his batting averages per month for 2018:
Apr- .273
May- .144
June- .364
July- .317
Aug- .356
Sep- .273I took enough Spanish in school to know how to read it, basically. I wouldn’t want to try to post or speak in Spanish, though.
