History says that the Yankees, Dodgers, Tigers and Cubs would advance. In the end, I’ll go with:

Phillies over Dodgers in 5Should be some good series. Also, it really stinks to not have Cardinal October baseball to be excited about. I really took that for granted from 2000-2022.
Well, I’m kinda neutral on the Mariners but I can’t bring myself to wish good things upon any of the other 7 teams in the playoffs.
I may just have to skip watching this year, lol

MarinersI’m feeling yet another playoff clean sweeparoo.
I happen to think that the Phillies are the second best team in the entire 8 team field, Pugs. I also think the Dodgers/Phillies NLDS may turn out to be a series that provides some all time classic post-season baseball action. Both teams possess some genuine firepower, so it should really be fun and entertaining to watch.
Just read where Woodruff will not be pitching in this series. That’s a huge negative for Milwaukee. A deal breaker for me. The Crew is in serious trouble without him. I’d love to switch my pick to Chicago, but Vegas wouldn’t allow it, so this esteemed site shouldn’t either.
He hasn’t seen any work in about 7 weeks, Pugs. Even if healthy, he’s bound to have accumulated some rust and I’m not at all sure if it’d be good idea to throw him into the fire of a post-season turn at this juncture. The Brewers have utilized what is essentially a 4 man rotation all season long with 9 or 10 other arms receiving turns to augment the primary 4 SP’ers. In any case, obviously the Brewers would be happy if Woodruff was available to work, but I don’t think his absence will at all tip the scale over to the Cubs.
Woody Woodruff has just been out of action a couple of weeks, TD. With him they would have won this series vs the scrubs. Now it’s a coin flip, slightly tilted in Chicago’s favor.
My mistake, Pugs. I looked at an inverted version of his last 5 games on BR and saw 8-19…Haha! At any rate, the Brewers have an ample assortment of arms to throw at those Cubbies in a best of 5. Your wager placed on the Brewers is safe and secure.
With just a mere few hours remaining until our first pitch of Round 2, we still have 2 stragglers whom have not put in their picks……..the esteemed Rat and the king of story telling, BicycleMike. Let’s kick it into gear gentlemen.
I don’t watch the games at all… but just follow who wins. PHI-TOR-DET-MIL. I’d like to see a TOR-PHI WS. That’s my heart picking.
Some sweet little picks there, NyQuist. Looks like you want a rematch of the ’93 WS. Maybe the Phils get a little revenge and take down the Jays 4 games to 2 this time. At this point, I see the Yanks representing the AL in this year’s Fall Classic.
Just received an email (not from TD) and I must extend my profound apologies to the esteemed TD for not including him on our updated 2025 Playoff Picks Leader-Board. TD is sitting right in the middle of the pack at 2-2………but don’t think for a moment that TD is down for the count. It would be textbook TD for him to come storming back and when the last pitch of the 2025 season is flung, TD would be standing alone on the very top of our leader board, with champagne in hand and a foot long Cuban cigar dangling from his mouth.
Haha…Thanks Pugs! Earlier in this thread I acknowledged that at 2-2, my lackluster .500 record would be far short of ever having the chance at qualifying for the baseball gypsy fortune telling HOF. But I’m not ready to pack it in and quit! I’ve been studying my trusty deck of tarot cards without relent and I’m utterly confident I’ll do better in this round…Go Brewers!
One would be a fool to bet against you, TD. We still have Rat and BicycleMike on the sidelines. I wouldn’t doubt for a minute that both are sleeping in, having indulged a bit too much in the bubbly last night……..celebrating this early could be a detrimental act to the Gambling Gods and thus not bode well as to how they finish.
I’m leaving in about 5 minutes to the game. I am very nervous for the cubbies winning this series. I would hate seeing them advace with a shot at heading to the WS. Milwaukee has not traditionally been a good post season team. Let’s hope that changes this year.

TigersAnd Jasper won their football game last night. They beat Castle 28-7 at Jasper. Castle is a big school located in Newburgh, Indiana. About ten miles east of Evansville.
Just for the heck of it, I will switch up a couple from what most have.
Brewers – I have little confidence they can do this, but want them to so bad I will go with them.
Phillies – again, probably not happenin’ but you never know.
Blue Jays – just ‘cause no one else has them.
Mariners – my favorite team of those remaining.
