Doubt they have 8 relievers in the bullpen.
I would guess Leahy gets in the rotation? But I don’t know.

So now the updated list is:

    O’Brien
    Stanek
    Pushard
    Romero (if not traded)
    Svanson
    Granillo
    Leahy (if not in rotation)
    Graceffo

I could even see Love, Gastelum, Raquet, Hence, or Watson being a part of the 2026 bullpen at some point.

Trade Arenado and this is a fine lineup for what we are trying to accomplish.

So what is the current MLB roster now assuming no more trades? I know that isn’t a good assumption, but just trying to see what they have now and what other trades may happen

C – Herrera, Pages (or Crooks / Pages?)
    1B – Burleson
    2B – Donovan, Saggasee
3B – Arenado, Wetherholt (Wetherholt will start at 2B or 3B)
    SS – Winn
    LF – Nootbaar
    CF – Scott, Church
    RF – Walker
DH – Gorman (or Herrera with Crooks at C)

That still feels like a weak OF and DH although one I could see them running with. And then one of Arenado or Donovan most likely is gone to clear a starting spot for Wetherholt.

Why is it low? Donovan has been pretty consistent in how he’s played so far in his career. I would say there is a great chance that he’ll play as well the next two years, which is one of the strongest points he has in terms of his trade value. You know that you’re going to get a 3ish WAR player.

he had a great season last year. I just can’t see him doing that year over year. What’s the point of keeping him? This team is 2 years at least away from being competitive. Might as well sell while he’s hot. Instead of waiting.

Because the odds of Donavan playing this well over the next 1-2 years is low.
