I’ve been a St.Louis Cardinals fan for the majority of my 64 years..In those 64 years I’ve seen great teams,and mediocre to bad teams..Signing a free agent pitcher who is slated to be third in the rotation is nothing to get excited about,yes he may be an innings eater,but unless he has a very high upside to be a top notch front of the lineup pitcher. i can’t get excited about this signing..The Cardinals have once gone shopping in the bargain basement,it’s time to make this team exciting again,sign a top notch starting pitcher,shortstop,and closer…If ownership Dewitt,and Mo are not willing to spend the money that we all know they have,. then it’s time to sell the Cardinals..if you read into the settlement between the NFL,and the city of St.Louis it leaves open the option of the Cardinals being moved to a bigger market city..Is this what we as fans really want,to see our beloved Cardinals moved to a big market environment?
