I couldn’t root for the Cards to lose, either, though this series could be a blessing in disguise. I don’t want any potentially valuable future assets sacrificed for a rental in pursuit of a third wildcard I’m not even sure this team could achieve.

I don’t think Burleson will collapse. I see him settling around a .760-.770 OPS. Not bad for a complementary player, but this offense relies on him as a cornerstone for lack of better options.
