No, I’m not sure, Pugs, but he had quite a few PA’s last season. At any rate, he may be this team’s MVP so far this season.
I think Shady may be on to something with this Burleson.
You know, Rat was singing Burly’s praises long before Shady came a calling in these waters. Yet Shady gets all of the credit for him…..go figure. But you don’t see Rat complaining about it, which is testament to Rat’s character.
I recall Burleson receiving some tout from Bling too when he first showed up in ’22, Pugs. Especially on his ability to make contact and go to both sides.
Absolutely correct about Bling too, TD. Bling and Rat sure do have a keen eye for talent…….and as Rat would add, he has a keen eye for the pretty ladies as well.
I think we are all excited about Burly’s exploits this year. Shady just takes it to a whole different level.
Burly actually looks a little like Lance Berkmnan. If he becomes half of the player Berk was then we will really have something.
Thanks TD…..yes, Burly is not a rookie. Great Burly-Berkman comparison, Scotty! If Burly ends up being 75% the player that Lance was, then we’re in business.
Even though Burly couldn’t quite catch up to that ball, he was zeroed in right on it, which is encouraging.
Not too many OF’ers are going to snag that one. I just don’t want to see Burleson get skint-up. We need that bat.

No offense to Mr. Matz, but I really don’t want him back when he’s scheduled to come off the shelf in August.
I’ve thought that Matz should be ticketed for the bullpen for the last two years. Similar to the role they have Liberatore in now.
Libby, to me, seems like he would be a lock down reliever if used properly.

Burly tore up aaa. You would have to be a blind man to not see he had a tremendous hit tool. With that said, many questioned if he could hit well enough in mlb to justify his below average everything else. Its true Shady believed in him and loudly shouted that fact to anyone who would
Listen. I think Shady probably needs the recognition a lot more than Rat does.
