Roycroft pitched yesterday. I think they stay with JoJo.

Been some fine DP’s turned this series and the CF D has been top shelf.

That’s a smooth half dozen over sea level. Cardinals played that game about as a clean whistle.

Nice road trip. This could be a tough week with the weather and all.

JoJo was bad. Wild. Crazy in the dirt and way inside pitches. Then several middle middle. But we got a good result. That’s a winner!

Burleson and Gorman are now tied for the team lead in RBI’s with 45 apiece. I was thinking that if Gorman could begin to make a bit more contact and we could get the two RH’ed corner IF bats cranked up, this line-up would be nowhere near any sort of bargain. Just imagine the R/L combo punch possibilities. I’m jumping the gun a little, but it could be a real problem for opposing teams.

Will we see the same lineup tomorrow?

Cardinals pick up a half game on MIL and lurk at 4.5 off the pace in the NLC. It’ll stay that way tonight as the Brewers are idle before opening a 3 game series at home vs. the Pirates tomorrow night. Cardinals are scheduled for two at home vs. a good KC team, but as Bikemike mentioned, it may be tough to get those games in. We’re expecting a lot of midwest rain and possibly some flooding from the lingering effects of hurricane Beryl. In any case, the fellas are playing well and it’s beginning to get interesting, which is all you can really ask for.

Aww man, I missed out on the Redbird trivia. I think I may have known the answer to that one only because I recall watching that stupendous 10 run Cardinal first inning in ATL

I meant to answer this one earlier, but probably a better time now. I recall that I was hiking across North Central PA, 175 miles at that time. I didn’t have much cell service, except I did pop into coverage for a good while during that game. I had the game on the radio and was shocked at the outburst of offense we laid down. I listened for a while and then tuned in later as I was getting into my tent for a good night’s rest to make sure they finished the Braves off. Great times.
