Lots of empty seats. Looks like a gate of less than 20K.

Gorman and Walker tried to show good plate discipline. K and a BB to show for it.

VS two is a long way from being ready for ML pitching.

Despite looking overmatched and sitting at 3 for 32, Scott has scored 6 runs. That’s tied for the team lead. Highly unusual.

Burleson has always played mostly vs RHP. That he wasn’t originally in the lineup vs a lefty is nothing remarkable. When he plays vs lefties he does ok.

    My prior comment was facetious.

In an admittedly tiny sample, Burleson has a 76 wRC+ against LHP. That means he’s 24% worse than MLB average. If that’s “OK,” I’d hate to see what “bad” looks like.

I know He’s scored runs, Dom, but conceding the 3rd out witha man on second is telling. When Noot is activated bye-bye Vic.

RBK, Burly does compete well vs lhp’s. The BA & obp are doable, but the slug% is under .300
Vs a lefty if he can just keep the line moving, it’s a win.

Absolutely, KCB. I just thought it was interesting that he’d crossed HP 6 times to tie for the team lead.

Burleson’s contributing less offense than Scotty 2 at this juncture.

Yep, Ivan’s finally getting his chance and he’s making the most of it. Good for him.

If the Cardinals can make this 3 run lead hold up they’ll be over .500 for the first time in 1 year and 4 days.
