Nope, no shutout tonight.
July 3, 2024 at 6:55 pm #258771Could’ve been way worse with 2nd and 3rd and 0 outs. I’ll take my chances down by only a run.

jj-cf-stlParticipantYep
July 3, 2024 at 7:05 pm #258773That 3-2 pitch to Arenado is one Winn would have taken to right field. Looked a bit outside, but this guy has called those strikes all game.
July 3, 2024 at 7:10 pm #258774What a great play by Siani. Great read and great sliding catch.
July 3, 2024 at 7:12 pm #258775Siani makes me bi polar.
July 3, 2024 at 7:19 pm #258776Here we go…Gallegos gets handed a 1 run game.
July 3, 2024 at 7:20 pm #258777Did I say a 2 run game?
July 3, 2024 at 7:22 pm #258778HR…BB…?
July 3, 2024 at 7:23 pm #258779And this is why I wanted to DFA Gallegos. He has a couple of games where he doesn’t give up runs and now he’s back to trusted. But his fastball is still bad. Right down the middle to Tellez. Then a walk. Then a hit.
July 3, 2024 at 7:23 pm #258780I’m not sure what the point in Gallegos being on the roster is. He can’t even get an out many outings and just gives up runs while another RP is stuck cleaning up his mess.
July 3, 2024 at 7:24 pm #258781That they have not figured out Gallegos’s arm is fried is a little scary from a self evaluation standpoint
But pretty hard to win a lot scoring 1 run
July 3, 2024 at 7:24 pm #258782Just leave him out there until the grand finale of this explosive spectacle.
July 3, 2024 at 7:24 pm #258783Gallegos has struggled really bad since they implemented the pitch clock. I guess he requires boring the batter to death to get them out. I always hated watching the mini human rain delay.
July 3, 2024 at 7:26 pm #258784Straight fastball at 92 with a bit of struggle on the control side. The slider is still good. But he’s a one trick pony.
July 3, 2024 at 7:26 pm #258785He shows us some mercy and departs.
July 3, 2024 at 7:32 pm #258787Mikolas again gets almost no run support. Is there something about the way he pitches that puts our offense to sleep? It’s been that way for years.
July 3, 2024 at 7:33 pm #258788
jj-cf-stlParticipantGG used there, with the pen having had Monday off, didn’t deserve a med lev appearance.
July 3, 2024 at 7:37 pm #258789They weren’t going to use Kittredge, JoJo, Fernandez or Helsley being down. They didn’t want the rookie Bosiokovic for his debut. So the choice was to either put our lefties in against a bunch of righties or use Gallegos. That should have been Leahy or Roycroft. But we kept Gallegos, making the play from behind options poor.
July 3, 2024 at 7:39 pm #258790Contreras ties it!
July 3, 2024 at 7:39 pm #258791Nice…2 run TATER ties it up!
July 3, 2024 at 7:41 pm #258792Goldy finding it?
July 3, 2024 at 7:42 pm #258793
jj-cf-stlParticipantRighty bats showing up
Middle of the order resultsJuly 3, 2024 at 7:42 pm #258794Gallegos one of those bad contracts that the Cardinals play rather than bite the bullet and use better options.
Whatever happened to Zach Thompson? Is he pitching at Memphis? I had hopes for him coming into the season, but he flamed out early.
July 3, 2024 at 7:47 pm #258795Thompson recently went to the 7 day IL for Memphis
