Just tuned in after getting home from dinner. What happened to Saurez?
June 1, 2024 at 6:55 pm #254604It’s early, he can redeem himself.
June 1, 2024 at 6:57 pm #254606Nice throw from RF…I thought they had him.
June 1, 2024 at 6:59 pm #254607Hit by batted ball. The arm I think.
June 1, 2024 at 7:01 pm #254608Wooster2
ParticipantG orman absolutely steals home on that sac fly. Glad hes got long arms. Ollies lineup is totally out of whack now that they switched from a lh pitcher to a rhander. Man I bet hes really hot. Jeez man what to do now?
June 1, 2024 at 7:03 pm #254609Thanks, Bling. Just saw where a comebacker got him.
June 1, 2024 at 7:13 pm #254612Leadoff walk comes around and its back to down by 3. Grey at 62 pitches after 3 IP.
June 1, 2024 at 7:13 pm #254613Gray has the look of a man who’s really been laboring. I don’t expect much more from him tonight.
June 1, 2024 at 7:19 pm #254614Wooster2
ParticipantHerrera is a rocket compared to Yadi!
June 1, 2024 at 7:26 pm #254615Wooster2
ParticipantSonny lookin good now. Burlys bat slid off a grease ball. Total waste of a MOB. Man on Base!
June 1, 2024 at 7:44 pm #254616Wooster2
ParticipantI’m really liking Sonny Gray he really pitches like an athelete. May be a keeper. Need to get some other guys to step up.
June 1, 2024 at 8:05 pm #254617Wooster2
ParticipantBurly fans on high outside fastball. The ole sucker pitch. Burly knows better. Herrera homesteading on 2nd…
June 1, 2024 at 8:08 pm #2546181982 willie
ParticipantI was sold on gray for a few years now. Cardinals could have had him before
June 1, 2024 at 8:09 pm #254619Wooster2
ParticipantGorman slaps a dinger distance foul. Pitcher batter foul ball going now. Battle.Gorman lays off an inside strike- batter goes down in frustration. Hes actually got alot of power- just has to figure it out I guess.
June 1, 2024 at 8:12 pm #254620Wooster2
ParticipantYeah Willie just checked him out been pitching since 2014 so you know hes got the knowledge. Hes got great balance works fast and is strong. He pitches like hes working out. Looks really good if they don’t over use him and burn him out. Got mostly winning seasons
June 1, 2024 at 8:17 pm #254621Why can’t this team score?
All they want to do is slug.
Slug it out there.
Winn tries to slug every pitch over the moon. Why doesn’t he shorten his stroke and just try and put the ball in play???
SLUG SLUG SLUG…….
June 1, 2024 at 8:18 pm #254622Lazy E-5 throwing error. Real lazy…
June 1, 2024 at 8:18 pm #254623Now Harper slugs one way out of town.
6-1 Phillies now.
Get out the brooms tomorrow night……
June 1, 2024 at 8:19 pm #254624And Harper makes the E-5 burn and sting.
June 1, 2024 at 8:19 pm #254625Wooster2
ParticipantWow Goldy error he just looks a bit off tonight. Didn’t run out a deep hit near 3rd and got thrown out at first. Was just plain slow.Speedy guy would have made it. Maybe hes tired I don’t know. Hero Harper just dingered.Still needs a haircut!
June 1, 2024 at 8:20 pm #254626Gray is what, 34? He’s a win now player not a piece to build around for the future.
I don’t guess we have a single starting pitcher to build a future rotation around.
Flaherty and Hicks apparently could have been those pieces but they looked pretty rough when we had them. I wasn’t sad when they got traded but it sure looks dumb right about now.
June 1, 2024 at 8:21 pm #254627Wooster2
ParticipantGoldy should of dug that out Dom. It was on line. Thats on 1st baseman throws gotta be quick.
June 1, 2024 at 8:23 pm #254629I respectfully disagree, Wooster. E-5 all the way. It looked really bad, too. Lazy effort.
June 1, 2024 at 8:24 pm #254630Unfortunately we have to keep trying to hit minus Contreras, Nootbaar, and Edman for a while. At least Donovan should be back soon. Right now this doesn’t look like a major league offense.
June 1, 2024 at 8:26 pm #254631Wooster2
ParticipantGray will do fine I believe as a starter. You remember how hard its been to get one? Flaherty had alot of potential too till the injuries.Hick looked to be a phenom too until ge couldn’t find the plate anymore. Seems like pitchers are a 3 year career merry go round to me.
