It’s early, he can redeem himself.

G orman absolutely steals home on that sac fly. Glad hes got long arms. Ollies lineup is totally out of whack now that they switched from a lh pitcher to a rhander. Man I bet hes really hot. Jeez man what to do now?

Gray has the look of a man who’s really been laboring. I don’t expect much more from him tonight.

I’m really liking Sonny Gray he really pitches like an athelete. May be a keeper. Need to get some other guys to step up.

I was sold on gray for a few years now. Cardinals could have had him before

Gorman slaps a dinger distance foul. Pitcher batter foul ball going now. Battle.Gorman lays off an inside strike- batter goes down in frustration. Hes actually got alot of power- just has to figure it out I guess.

Yeah Willie just checked him out been pitching since 2014 so you know hes got the knowledge. Hes got great balance works fast and is strong. He pitches like hes working out. Looks really good if they don’t over use him and burn him out. Got mostly winning seasons

    Why can’t this team score?

All they want to do is slug.

    Slug it out there.

Winn tries to slug every pitch over the moon. Why doesn’t he shorten his stroke and just try and put the ball in play???

    SLUG SLUG SLUG…….

Wow Goldy error he just looks a bit off tonight. Didn’t run out a deep hit near 3rd and got thrown out at first. Was just plain slow.Speedy guy would have made it. Maybe hes tired I don’t know. Hero Harper just dingered.Still needs a haircut!

Gray is what, 34? He’s a win now player not a piece to build around for the future.

I don’t guess we have a single starting pitcher to build a future rotation around.

Flaherty and Hicks apparently could have been those pieces but they looked pretty rough when we had them. I wasn’t sad when they got traded but it sure looks dumb right about now.

Goldy should of dug that out Dom. It was on line. Thats on 1st baseman throws gotta be quick.

I respectfully disagree, Wooster. E-5 all the way. It looked really bad, too. Lazy effort.

Unfortunately we have to keep trying to hit minus Contreras, Nootbaar, and Edman for a while. At least Donovan should be back soon. Right now this doesn’t look like a major league offense.

Gray will do fine I believe as a starter. You remember how hard its been to get one? Flaherty had alot of potential too till the injuries.Hick looked to be a phenom too until ge couldn’t find the plate anymore. Seems like pitchers are a 3 year career merry go round to me.
