Donovan also beginning to rip it like we’ve seen in the past. Lead-off double!…Let’s push him across.

That’s a bummer to strand that lead-off double.

Yeah, he’s been real good, JJ. Good enough to be afforded another turn if this one holds up.

Andre doing a good John Gant type start. Get in trouble, get the DP. Keep it in the park and we can work with it.

Pallante does what he does. He walks a guy and then gets the ground ball for a double play. As long as we can field all those grounders, he’s going to have good results. Thus far only one got through.

To J’s point, Andre after 5 has a 58% GB% today, producing an .083 BAbip, and no runs.

I want to go on record saying I’m not a fan of sending Pallante back out for the 6th.

If i was a big-league manager making millions i would hire a coach specializing in teaching hitters not to swing at balls that land in the dirt. Some times that bounce off the plate. You see hitters that chase balls two feet off the plate….This would be money well spent. Swing only in the zone. The pitcher has to come you.

Well JJ – I guess I got my Pallante/Leahy start. This isn’t quite how I drew it up in my head as I didn’t think Pallante would make it 6, but luck was on his side today.

Leahy is not holding up his end of the deal though. Some hard hit balls to the outfield. I preferred ground balls. They never go off of or over the wall.

Is King the right call here? I’d rather see Liberatore.

I guess I was wrong about Leahy’s hard hit balls. I was distracted and saw the first one and assumed the two hits were too. But they weren’t at all hard hit.

King gets the job done. Fortunately the bottom half of the Reds lineup has got to be about the worst in baseball.

Got the 3rd out, but I have no idea why Gorman went to 2B for the force. I almost fainted…

With Kitty, Jo Jo, and Helsley off the last two games you would think they will get some action today.

J, I asked about Pallante starting but was led astray 🙉
