Man that Reds catcher is huge. He stood up and made Winn look like a little leaguer.

Yeah MLB really needs to limit the time on review requests as they take so long to get over with

There again, it’s opinion . I don’t hide how much I like Winn. So I’m probably going to the sites that value him higher. And like Dom says, it’s a long season.

CF’rs are being productive. They blended well tonight.

With King seemingly coming on and being a reliable lefty out of the pen, I would stick with Libby in the rotation. I know he has struggled, but we don’t just stay with him – we give him a start, then use him in relief, then maybe a start or two. Just commit to him for say 6-8 turns and see what he can do.

Oh man, Winn was thinking of the throw before making the fielding play.

KCB, I obviously hope Winn wins it, but yeah my opinion (and of many other such as betting sites) is Ortiz would be 2nd behind Shoto. No one is winning if over Shoto if he keeps pitching even remotely close to how good he has been.

And that play is where Winn rated as below average so far with the glove. Certainly a lot of promise, but he needs to polish a little bit. He has the potential is my eye to be above average with the glove though.

Goldy seems to be finding the groove.

Loved seeing Herrera jump on that first pitch. If it’s there, let it fly! …and then gets picked off, maybe.

Barring catastrophe looks like we win AND get the backend of our BP another days rest.

Goldy has two hits. Herrera has three.

    Maybe Loutos debut finally.

    But sounds like Fernandez.

I dig the navy blue hats. Have always liked that look. I would wear them at home now and then as well. Like the red as well, but the navy’s are a nice alternate. They look like the guys in the baseball cards I got as a kid in the early ‘60s.

The navy blue is my favorite cap.

I believe that is 6 quality starts for Gibson out of his 12 total starts on the year….he had 17 with Baltimore last year.

What is the point of having a limit on challenges if you can just keep going out and asking the crew chief for one?

Johnny’s been taking a lot of heat, but you can’t complain too much at all about the 3 SP’ers he collected over the off season. If the Cardinals hold on to win this game tonight,Gray, Gibson and Lynn will collectively be 13-7 with a combined ERA of 3.21…Not too shabby.

I’m also a strong advocate of tonight’s road uniform. I wish they’d sport those exact threads for all road games like they did when we were kids and for a while when TLR was the manager.

I remember after the FA signings, I posted that Gibson could be as good Gray for the Cardinals. I got scorched by my critics. Not as bad as the incessant drillings I use to get when touting Burleson. But still they slammed me just the same. Looks like ‘ole Shady might be 2 for 2. lol

You get incessant drillings about Burleson because you incessantly bring him up, even in unrelated conversations.

Well, I posted that Lynn’s return to the Cardinals would entirely wipe out the entire supply of Bavarian Bismarks in the StL. area…I was right again!

All jokes aside, I think LL’s been not only the most fun to watch of the 3 additions to the 5 man, but has also been a primary source that has added an aura of tenacity and determination to the starting rotation. All three guys have been taking turns that could be termed workmanlike.

The Brewers can’t catch a break on pitchers. Their closer Megill just took a rocket line drive off a bone in the forearm and immediately was taken out of the game. The Cubs runner from 2nd scored since Megill was in so much pain he couldn’t think to pick up the ball in front of the mound.
