Yeah, it’s silly, LA. Win the game you play today.

According to Oli, winning on Sundays is for the NFL.

Crawford’s presense makes me miss Manny Motter that much more…

There’s a white flag side to Oli that’s glaring, and it appeared to have been a pregame decision today.

    Now he is using pinch-hitters

Why use Herrera as a pinch hitter the next inning? He could have batted with the bases loaded the inning before. I guess he’d have to catch on his off day. It looks like the plan was to lose almost no matter what. Maybe Dewitt bet big on them losing today so he could cover some revenue losses?

Robertson heading back to AAA after this game despite looking good in his first couple innings of work. Now he’s nearing 60 pitches. He’s likely to get replaced with the new guy we just picked up on waivers. Could be Roycroft swapped out as well, but Robertson was is the one with an empty tank.

    Yes,I blame HAL.

It was good to see a game even though they laid an egg.

I hope they have Oli post game presser on Roku.

Does Herrera’s 9game hitting streak get broken by a O-fer’ PH appearance today?

Win is having a good year and playing all-star shortstop and Gorman was just heating up. How could either be on the bench today with a chance to win against a bad team. But it is both of them including Herrera.

And why is Carpenter leading off? Ollie drives me crazy with his stupid lineups.

That’s 2-12 in series finales this year for those that may throw a few bucks on a game….a definite trend

If you were trying to make the playoffs, you would have your team convinced the last game of a series is the most important!!!

Win the game you play today. If any focus is placed on tomorrow’s game, you may not see the one being played in front of you. Maybe that’s a portion of the whiz-kid’s problem?

    “How you doing Tony?”

    “Ask me after the game.”

    Every game.

Over the years I have often stated my belief that it is losers who think the season is a marathon. Winners know that a season is 162 sprints in a row, and they play like that. Oli wasn’t planning on having the team running a sprint today. Its too bad because there was a pretty good crowd.

I can’t help but to notice the similarities in the pitching styles of Liberatore and the guy that he’s been called upon to replace in the rotation. Same assortment of pitches, similar delivery, and the competitive nature seems to be indentical. It’s as if Matz never pinched his back.

    On a good note……

The Cubs lost to the Pirates 3-2. Pittsburgh took three of four at Wrigley.

The Brewers lost to the Astros 9-4. The Astros took two of three at Colt 45 Stadium.

The Doyers beat the Reds 3-2 in 10 innings. Watubi the walkoff single with two outs in the 10th. The Doyers took two of three at Doyer Stadium.

Joe Dimaggio – When asked why he played so hard, he replied: “Because there is always some kid who may be seeing me for the first time. I owe him my best.”

The modern day St. Louis Cardinals clearly don’t see it the same way. One was a major winner, the other, well not so much.

Having a hard time catching those pesky Pirates for third place, but on the sunny side, we’re fending off those troublesome Reds.

Well we got the series. Glad we did not waste the 10 run effort in today’s match up.

These next six will be tough. If the offense can keep doing what they did in the first two of this series – stay on the ball and put good swings together – not try to do too much, who knows; maybe we come away with a couple more wins.

I wonder if we can be done with Liberatore in the rotation now. Yes, I know there is not a good alternative. A bad alternative will be fine.
