    1982willie,
If you want to drive up to Montgomery to the Gasthof, the Amish restaurant, they have Catfish Fiddlers on Friday afternoon. They usually start serving them at 4:00. That’s 4:00 EST, of course. I think the Fiddlers at the Gasthof are better than the Fiddlers at Lakeview in Loogootee.

Time to jump in the tub and soak my aching back. Then fix me a little chili for my late night snack later tonight and then get ready for 1st pitch at Sportsman’s Park tonight. Then after the RedSox/Redbirds clash I can finish watching the Reds and Dodgers from Doyer Stadium while I have another cigar. Then after the Reds and Doyers it will be time for Barnaby Jones and one last cigar for the evening. And in case you are wondering, yes, Whitey Herdog will be on the couch with me.

In case anyone is wondering, yes O’Neill is in the BoSox lineup hitting 5th playing LF.

We kind of knew O’Neill would be in there, but I was surprised to see Wong as the Red Sox catcher…

blingboy, O’Neill and Burleson are both batting 5th in their lineups. It will be interesting which of the two have the better game amd series.

That will be fun to watch Shady. They are very different types of hitters.

Ah ratsbuddy, i might have to do that sometime. I checked and its only an hour away via I69. Price doesnt seem too bad either. The only buffet place here outside of a chinese one is golden corral and its a little high. I actually think they serve fiddlers down at the feedmill in kentucky but my girlfriend doesnt really care for the food. Mostly serve gator, crawfish and the such which she dont like alongside catfish. Weird i know. But she was born in chicago.

I’m guessing right at 17K. That seems a little skinny for a Fri. night, but maybe some late arrivals will fill a few more seats.

Pretty nice welcome for O’Neill and he snubs the locals with a base hit…Haha!

He’s been a disappointment so far this season, but I still think Gorman has a decent chance to hit 40 HR’s in a season during his career. The baseball takes off whenever he makes any sort of significant contact. It looks effortless.

Agreed 1TD. I dont want to give up on Gorman for some early season struggles as a 24 year old. He certainly has some improvements to make, but he has plenty of time to do it and he has the tools to be great

I was asking the same question, Bikemike. Looks like they got careless with the mustard…

I just looked at the Pittsburgh box score and wow Skenes pitched great his 2nd game. 6 no hit innings with 11 Ks and 1 BB.

Cool that a Caray and a Buck will be in the booth next Friday. Man does that bring back memories. I know Harry and Jack did some radio and/or television together after Harry was let go following the 1969 season. But I don’t think they were in the booth together for a game after that season.

We are really making Bello work hard. 63 pitches through 3

If Gibson pitches next Friday, we would have Buck and Caray calling the game with Gibson pitching.

If we could come up with a Flood and Javier somehow it would really be something.

Indeed it does, 1TD. Haven’t quite gotten a good enough look to see what they represent.

Burly has that look of a guy putting it together. He has not been horrible in the outfield either – not great range but he has made some good throws.
