I don’t guess it really matters much anymore which league a team happens to be in, but it looks like the Cardinals/Brewers are the only NL action of the day.

Didn’t do anything with the base runner gift in the 1st.

I had forgotten that Gray takes his turn tonight. Maybe he can work his way to a W.

    Maybe Gray forgot too.

Yeah, maybe. In any case, 1st place MIL does what they’re supposed to do and jumps out to a 3 run lead vs. the last place Cardinals.

    Edit…Make that a 4 run lead.

Even the outs are hit hard.

Wow, had dinner with the lovely Lady Bike as we chatted awhile. Came down to the den to check in on the game and we are down 4-0 early with our ace going.

That score is notable as it looks likely that we will end up 0-4 versus the division leaders in the early going.

Another solo home run closes it to a three run deficit.

BTW, how about those Twins! Sonny might wish he could have stuck around.

And now Arenado watches a strike go by.

Burly bunting. Brilliant. Bench him if that’s his idea, or fire his manager.

NA strikes out for the second time. Wasn’t he just shooting his mouth off recently? Maybe try hitting the ball.

    Whoa, where was that pitch?

Yeah, MIL winning 3 of 4 would really send the Cardinals packing. A sweep would be a strong indication that this team is ready to strike the colors in May.

Edmonds comment is what I have said a lot about our team – why guys don’t attack the fastball on hitter’s counts. I see us watch a lot of 2-0, 3-1 pitches go by. Goldy seems to be the one that takes a lot of hittable pitches.

Nado was voicing his frustration at our lack of offense, but it was the truth. I don’t see anything wrong in what he said – it’s not like he was not including himself in the comments.

In fact I thought it was refreshing – an honest assessment and not the management mantra of how they are working hard and all that. Nado was saying they need to be better.

Good AB by Gorman. Ripped at the 3-1 and laid off the low ball for the walk.

Yeah a lot of our players watch the best pitch of the AB go by when we are 0-0 or hitters counts. It is good to take pitches, but sometimes they can be too passive. That is Noot’s biggest weakness, although he is looking much better the last few days.

The Brewers have been doing a really good job tonight of jumping on first pitches that are hittable and drilling them

I’d say so, Albert. 2 of the 3 MIL HR’s have come on 1st pitch fastballs.

May as well pack up the bats and go home when we have runners on base. It feels like we should be dead last by a long shot on BA with RISP, but CWS have us beat for 30th

Bases loaded, nobody out in the 5th. Nothing. NOTHING!

NOOTBAAR HITS A LITTLE WEAK GROUNDBALL FOR A FORCE AT HOME!

ARENADO HITS A LITTLE WEAK POP FLY TO THE 3RDBASEMAN IN FOUL GROUND!!

WHY IS THIS TEAM SO WORTHLESS WHEN THEY NEED SOMETHING???

ARENADO IS ABSOLUTELY USELESS WHEN YOU NEED A HIT!!!

GET RID OF HIM!!! GET RID OF GOLDSCHMIDT!!! GET RID OF MARMOL!!!

I was sitting on my couch with Whitey Herdog and said outloud to the TV…..”HERE COMES A STRIKEOUT OR A LITTLE WEAK GROUND BALL OR A LITTLE WEAK FLYBALL. WE WON’T SCORE A RUN HERE….!!!

Pitiful is not the word for it……

Totally agree as we watch a lot of first pitch meatballs go by.

Man, Burly just got under it. A salami there and that might just have turned out season around had we come back and won this one. As it is, still down 5-1.

It is frustrating. Noot homers with no one on, and can’t get a run home with the sacks jammed and less than two outs.

I think with our offensive woes we are pressing when the opportunity to put up runs comes around. Guys get in a panic rather than just relax and let the natural ability take over.

Bases jammed with no outs and they come away empty. As Lasorda once said…”I’ll tell you what I think about it…That is very, very bad…That is just terrible…&*%^*…#$@%^…@#$@#^&%…@#%@^&!!!

Game slipping away now. We almost need to sweep these next three or Mo needs to work the phones and start the liquidation sale.
