Yeah, he’s 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and up to .281.

    Edit…And a SB.

I don’t have the sound on. Have they said if Gray’s night is done?

Not only is he quick to the baseball, the arm reminds me of Dunston.

Fermin to PH for Burleson, which gives us a righty bench bat not named Ivan Herrera.

Fermin once played for the AA Akron, “Rubber Ducks”…

Best I can tell, only the Braves and Nationals have committed fewer E’s than the Cardinals with 8, 9 and 10, respectively. That’s pretty good.

Strong starting pitching, timely hitting w/plus D and clean pen work.

The rebuild will be complete when tonights results are our norm. Tonight was like a blueprint.

    Game Ball to Sonny Gray.
    Hat_tip to Contreras and Arenado.

20% of the season is done.

The Cardinals sit two games under .500 and 5 1/2 games back in the division.

They have 3 startres with OPS’ over .700.

They have 3 starters with batting averages below the Mendoza line and OPS’ below .600.

Despite missing two turns to begin the season, I’m not sure there’s been a better SP’er in either league than Gray.

Yep, it’s like sleeping well because we know we have a firm hold on 4th place.

I’ve always felt that ascending to sea level always transcends any position in the standings. Nothing really good happens until a team reaches .500 and this weekend would be an ideal time for the Cardinals to assert themselves as at least a .500 baseball team with a 3 game sweep of the worst team in the Big Leagues.

One thing about two teams that can’t hit a lick the games go by fast… 2 hours and 21 minutes

The story to watch Friday is whether Siani’s BA goes above Gorman’s and Noot’s. As of first pitch Siani .171, Noot .185, Gorman .190.

At the end of the day, Noot .174, Siani .182, Gorman .185. I hereby pass to Noot the Golden Flyswatter traveling trophy for hitting futility. Hat tip to Gorman, as Siani concludes his impressive run. It should be noted that Donovan (.215) seems ready to enter the fray, and Goldy (.224) looks on with interest.
