jj-cf-stlParticipantSiani and the 4th time through our lineup due up. 3-0 StL.
May 3, 2024 at 9:13 pm #250585
jj-cf-stlParticipant2 spot refuses to make an out.
May 3, 2024 at 9:14 pm #250586Yeah, he’s 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and up to .281.
Edit…And a SB.
May 3, 2024 at 9:16 pm #250587I don’t have the sound on. Have they said if Gray’s night is done?
May 3, 2024 at 9:17 pm #250588
jj-cf-stlParticipantGoldy not optimizing his platform year.
May 3, 2024 at 9:18 pm #250589There’s my answer.
May 3, 2024 at 9:19 pm #250590
jj-cf-stlParticipantOur D has spoiled me.
May 3, 2024 at 9:19 pm #250591Not only is he quick to the baseball, the arm reminds me of Dunston.
May 3, 2024 at 9:21 pm #250592
jj-cf-stlParticipantW/a scope

May 3, 2024 at 9:24 pm #250594
jj-cf-stlParticipantNado, Burly and Winn due up. 3-0 StL
May 3, 2024 at 9:27 pm #250595
jj-cf-stlParticipantFermin to PH for Burleson, which gives us a righty bench bat not named Ivan Herrera.
May 3, 2024 at 9:30 pm #250597Fermin once played for the AA Akron, “Rubber Ducks”…
May 3, 2024 at 9:36 pm #250599Best I can tell, only the Braves and Nationals have committed fewer E’s than the Cardinals with 8, 9 and 10, respectively. That’s pretty good.
May 3, 2024 at 9:40 pm #250600
jj-cf-stlParticipantStrong starting pitching, timely hitting w/plus D and clean pen work.
The rebuild will be complete when tonights results are our norm. Tonight was like a blueprint.
Game Ball to Sonny Gray.
Hat_tip to Contreras and Arenado.May 3, 2024 at 9:40 pm #25060120% of the season is done.
The Cardinals sit two games under .500 and 5 1/2 games back in the division.
They have 3 startres with OPS’ over .700.
They have 3 starters with batting averages below the Mendoza line and OPS’ below .600.
May 3, 2024 at 9:43 pm #250602Despite missing two turns to begin the season, I’m not sure there’s been a better SP’er in either league than Gray.
May 3, 2024 at 9:47 pm #250604
jj-cf-stlParticipant32% of the deadline season is on the books.
May 3, 2024 at 9:50 pm #250605Yeah, but thank goodness tax season’s over…
May 3, 2024 at 10:00 pm #250608
jj-cf-stlParticipantYep, it’s like sleeping well because we know we have a firm hold on 4th place.
May 3, 2024 at 10:12 pm #250610I’ve always felt that ascending to sea level always transcends any position in the standings. Nothing really good happens until a team reaches .500 and this weekend would be an ideal time for the Cardinals to assert themselves as at least a .500 baseball team with a 3 game sweep of the worst team in the Big Leagues.
May 3, 2024 at 11:09 pm #250616One thing about two teams that can’t hit a lick the games go by fast… 2 hours and 21 minutes
May 4, 2024 at 5:37 am #250619The story to watch Friday is whether Siani’s BA goes above Gorman’s and Noot’s. As of first pitch Siani .171, Noot .185, Gorman .190.
At the end of the day, Noot .174, Siani .182, Gorman .185. I hereby pass to Noot the Golden Flyswatter traveling trophy for hitting futility. Hat tip to Gorman, as Siani concludes his impressive run. It should be noted that Donovan (.215) seems ready to enter the fray, and Goldy (.224) looks on with interest.
