Yeah, I understand the need for an emergency SS, but I think Donovan could suffice without being a huge liability.
1td, let’s just hope Burleson develops some consistency. And some of the other players warm up.
Donovan is somebody you want playing there for maybe 2-3 games.
Crawford is here if Winn gets injured and goes on the IL.
I think Donovan could sustain them for a week or so. If Edman’s ever again able to play I think it makes it possible to lose Crawford.
I think for them to consider it, Edman would have to be back first. And Fermin would need more time at SS at AAA.
Yeah, Edman’s the linchpin. I don’t even check on news of his progress anymore. He’s liable to retire before the break…Haha!

When the Cardinals get pitching they can’t hit and when they hit they don’t get pitching.
They are like a fat golfer. When he puts the ball where he can see it, he can’t hit it; and when he puts it where he can hit it, he can’t see it.
And I don’t know why I’m complaining about Crawford while this team simultaneously packs around 3 healthy C’s. Strange stuff in Redbirdland.
Yeah, ZTR, I guess the Ol’ Perfessor was right when he claimed, “Good pitching always stops good hitting and vice versa”…
