It’s a broken record with this lefty.

What’s puzzling is that Matz has been around for a while. I’m reasonably certain that it’s been made clear to him that belt high is no good.

Nice to see some hits, but I’d like see some of these guys with some Xtras. It’s the Matty Alou show.

Can Crawford hit a ball any more?

That was a picture perfect play in LF by Burleson.

    Matz with 3.1 IP’ed, 4 ER’s on 7 hits including a HR, 2 BB’s, 1 K, and the book’s not closed yet.

Leahy holds it steady at 4-0.

With Goldy coming out of the slump, I sincerely hope Marmol does not move him back to the 2 a lot. Like him at 4 or 5.

Is that jager in the Cardinal hat and jersey just to the left, third row?

    Wow, Burly off the lefty!

Whoa…Burleson with the 3 run tater off of the lefty! Where the heck is Shady?

I would have left Leahy in there. He was not getting hit hard. Second game of a DH with a game tomorrow – and a tie game at that. Don’t want to burn through your bullpen.

Yep – just felt like it was a mistake to change pitchers there.

That lead didn’t last long. I’m with you, Bikemike. I saw no point in handing the baseball to another pitcher to face the switch hitting Perez.

Yep – Leahy gave up an infield single that was a bang-bang play, then that blooper that went for a double. He had some tough luck. I would have stuck with him.

In the unlikely event that this team suddenly demonstrates the ability to compete, how much longer can you allow Matz to take a turn in the rotation? He’s not even providing the team with a slim chance.

I don’t know, KCB, but right now we’d have a better chance with Zsa Zsa every 5th day…

I think the only options right now are Liberatore or Robberse. Nobody else is pitching well enough.

Might as well sit back and pop a cold one TD. There are 12.5 million reasons we are going to keep seeing Matz every 5 days.

Bringing Gallegos in is like waving the white flag.
