The Burleson thread’s lighting up again…
April 30, 2024 at 4:51 pm #250170I’m going to start a Pages thread.
April 30, 2024 at 4:59 pm #250172Helsley looked as good as I’ve ever seen him.
April 30, 2024 at 4:59 pm #250173He almost had a perfect inning. His first 9 pitches were strikes.
Edit: Actually, all 10 pitches were strikes. But the 9th one was fouled off and the 10th was put in play.
April 30, 2024 at 5:00 pm #250174Cards pull it out!
Momentarily out of last place!
April 30, 2024 at 5:00 pm #250175It wasn’t fair, LA.
April 30, 2024 at 5:03 pm #250176What a great win! Ya gotta feel bad for Flaherty, But not too bad.
April 30, 2024 at 5:04 pm #250177Real nice turn from Gibson.
April 30, 2024 at 5:07 pm #250178Don’t feel bad for Flaherty at all. He had his best performance in years.
April 30, 2024 at 5:09 pm #250179I’ve posted several times in the past about how Pages has a gift for coming through in big moments. I’ve always loved him because of this and how he is such a good field general. I heard his sac fly would have been a home run in 17 stadiums. Great win after the team just looked foolish for the first 5 innings. Great pitching kept us in it.
April 30, 2024 at 5:09 pm #250180The bronze busts were hapnin in the ninth. Nice job in the 8th by Liberatore.
April 30, 2024 at 5:11 pm #250181The two SP’ers combine for a total of 13.2 IP’ed, 1 ER, on 6 hits and 23 K’s.
April 30, 2024 at 5:15 pm #250182I’m still a little dazed by the first 6 pitches from Helsley. All 6 were entirely unhittable.
April 30, 2024 at 5:22 pm #250183Well, they left it late but a win is a win is a win.
April 30, 2024 at 5:35 pm #250186In addition to settling at sea level with a .500 record, the Cardinals can also guarantee that they won’t be in last place tomorrow morning with a W in the second game of this doubleheader. It’s nice to know I’m pinning my hopes on Matz…
April 30, 2024 at 5:39 pm #250188Tonight’s lineup posted on the game 29 thread.
April 30, 2024 at 5:45 pm #250189I’m seeing Crawford at SS on Gameday, Bling.
April 30, 2024 at 5:49 pm #250190Now I’m really confused. I’ve got Arenado at DH and Donovan manning up at 3B. I’ll have to wait until they show the defensive alignment on TV.
April 30, 2024 at 5:49 pm #250191So glad we took that one despite Flaherty’s best outing. Gibson pitched a magnificent game too with Helsley bringing it home. I hope we get the good Matz tonight!
April 30, 2024 at 5:50 pm #250192Yeah, its changed on rotowire now too.
April 30, 2024 at 5:52 pm #250194You’re always spot on, Bling, so I thought Gameday was wrong. Burleson out in LF…Skates?…Haha!
April 30, 2024 at 5:53 pm #250195How many will he spot them?
April 30, 2024 at 5:56 pm #250196Lucky to escape only down by 2 runs. Pardon me for saying so, but this lefty hasn’t been any good at all.
April 30, 2024 at 6:14 pm #250197Looks like Cardinals need to move Matz to the bullpen again.
Bring up Robberse!
April 30, 2024 at 6:18 pm #250198Looked like Lou Whitaker over at 2B…Hard luck for Siani.
