The boys are manufacturing tonight.
April 22, 2024 at 8:44 pm #249157
jj-cf-stlParticipantOppo Winn single, really well timed.
SB Winn
BB for Siani againApril 22, 2024 at 8:46 pm #249158Siani has been on base 7 times in the last three games, which equals Victor Scott II’s total for the year.
April 22, 2024 at 8:47 pm #249159
jj-cf-stlParticipantNo crooked number
April 22, 2024 at 8:48 pm #249160
jj-cf-stlParticipant8 and 9 are table setting well.
April 22, 2024 at 8:49 pm #249161Were not able to multiply and hits vs Mantiply and we mosey along to inning #8 all knotted up at 3.
April 22, 2024 at 8:52 pm #249163That Goldschmidt HR was his first since his second AB of the season at Dodger Stadium.
April 22, 2024 at 8:53 pm #249164Just did some research on Kitty and “no” he cannot be stretched out to a starter type workload, but here he is pitching again in the 8th.
Kitty pitched a purrrfect 8th…..dispatched the one batter he faced before getting yanked. But yeah…..The Untouchable is a very apt nickname for Kitty.
Enter Joseph Abel “JoJo” Romero.
April 22, 2024 at 8:56 pm #249166JoJo yields a base hit, but then quickly makes amends by inducing a 6-4-3 twin killing. 3-3 heading to the bottom of the 8th.
April 22, 2024 at 8:58 pm #249167Big tall drink of water in the person of Ryan Scott Thompson pitching the 8th for Arizona.
April 22, 2024 at 9:03 pm #249168Thompson sets us down 1-2-3 in the 8th.
Who’s pitching the 9th? Has to be JoJo again.
April 22, 2024 at 9:04 pm #249169JoJo only faced 2 batters last inning. Why in blazes bring Helsley in here?
April 22, 2024 at 9:05 pm #249170
jj-cf-stlParticipantTop of their order.
Go getem’ Big Boy!April 22, 2024 at 9:08 pm #249171
jj-cf-stlParticipantOli is setting us up for a win streak Pugs <s>
April 22, 2024 at 9:17 pm #249172Goldy beats out a slow roller down the 3rd baseline for an infield hit to start matters off here in the bottom of the 9th. And the Diamondbacks switch pitchers.
Gorman whacks a 2 run bomb to right to win it.
April 22, 2024 at 9:18 pm #249173Cards win!!!
April 22, 2024 at 9:18 pm #249174He absolutely destroyed that pitch for the 2 run walk off tater.
April 22, 2024 at 9:19 pm #249175
jj-cf-stlParticipantHey, a walk-off and another crooked number!
April 22, 2024 at 9:19 pm #249176Wow! Gorman hit that all the way to Memphis! 😉
April 22, 2024 at 9:19 pm #2491775-3 Birds. And the new mantra fits….let’s let bygones be bygones.
April 22, 2024 at 9:20 pm #249178Yippie Kai Yay
About time.
April 22, 2024 at 9:21 pm #249179Man that felt good to watch that.
Gorman and Goldschmidt both come up big.
April 22, 2024 at 9:22 pm #249180Gee the two heads I was calling on to be chopped earlier today both whacked huge homers.
April 22, 2024 at 9:23 pm #249181Both Cardinal HR’s tonight were hit by guys who’ve been AWOL with the bat.
April 22, 2024 at 9:23 pm #249182That was abrupt. They barely got back in time for the game winner after the commercial breaking on Extra Innings.
Did somebody mention the son of Earl and Ethel Weaver in this thread earlier? Took a page out of his book: pitching, defense and the 3-run homerun. I guess we substituted the 1-run and 2-run homers for the 3-run homer.
