Thinking about the lack of offense, for now think I would have both Herrera and Contreras in there every day, and play Donovan at second. We need all of the guys who are hitting at least a little bit in the lineup – Winn, Contreras, Herrera, Arenado, Nootbaar and Donovan.
April 19, 2024 at 9:23 pm #248712
jj-cf-stlParticipantYep, Herrera in. Donovan for Gorman or Walker (Noot to RF).
April 19, 2024 at 9:24 pm #248713And I would go this way pretty much day in and day out for awhile:
Donovan
Winn
Nootbaar
Arenado
Contreras
Goldschmidt
Herrera
Walker/Burleson/Gorman
Scott/SianiApril 19, 2024 at 9:24 pm #248714Rule 5 guy in the 8th of a one run game. I’m confused.
April 19, 2024 at 9:27 pm #248715
jj-cf-stlParticipantIts not you
April 19, 2024 at 9:31 pm #248716Man, both Goldschmidt and Arenado had a pitch to hit, and both skied it on the infield.
April 19, 2024 at 9:33 pm #248717The Redbirds score less than a bachelor with bad breath…If they get shut out tonight they’ll be last in the NL in runs scored.
April 19, 2024 at 9:33 pm #248718
jj-cf-stlParticipantTable setters not doing it. Noot is trying to start rallies w/2 out.
April 19, 2024 at 9:34 pm #248719Brewers just won yesterday 1-0. We may not get 2 shutouts all year.
April 19, 2024 at 9:40 pm #248720Ricky just mentioned the Cardinals have only thrown out one base steeler all year so far.
April 19, 2024 at 9:49 pm #248721Burleson in the on deck circle.
April 19, 2024 at 9:49 pm #248722
jj-cf-stlParticipantWinn on base twice tonight
April 19, 2024 at 9:50 pm #248723Will Burly be the hero or the goat?
April 19, 2024 at 9:51 pm #248724
jj-cf-stlParticipantBurleson drives it
April 19, 2024 at 9:53 pm #248725Now Herrera batting for Walker and Siani running for Burleson.
April 19, 2024 at 9:54 pm #248726Maybe Shady was right about Burly all along.
April 19, 2024 at 9:55 pm #248727
jj-cf-stlParticipantFalling apart for them
April 19, 2024 at 9:56 pm #248728Chance to win it with the HBP.
April 19, 2024 at 9:57 pm #248729
jj-cf-stlParticipantEr-uh, hey Goldy…..
April 19, 2024 at 9:57 pm #248730Haha…Bases jammed BB ties it.
April 19, 2024 at 10:00 pm #248731
jj-cf-stlParticipantNope, not that. Good rally boys
April 19, 2024 at 10:01 pm #248732
stlcard25ParticipantIt’s a bit sad that I would rather have almost anyone up with the bases loaded and a chance to win it than Goldy. He just takes too many fat pitches anymore. Hopefully they can find a way to win it in extras, but you had to like all the momentum they had there in the 9th.
April 19, 2024 at 10:01 pm #248733Well, the Cardinals out hit the Brewers through nine innings.
April 19, 2024 at 10:01 pm #248734Too bad there was no one to bat for Goldy.
April 19, 2024 at 10:04 pm #248735Goldschmidt needs to retire, where is Tommy edman, Gorman strikes out way too much
