April 12, 2024 at 9:23 pm #2477206-0 Cards. Do note that I called that the offense was going to strike in this series earlier in this thread. 7.5 runs per game. We are off to a good start.
April 12, 2024 at 9:24 pm #247721No problem…..keep up with the PBP as you’re doing great, JJ……matter of fact a bit too great, as you’re apt to put me out of a job.
Sweet call, Jnevel!
April 12, 2024 at 9:25 pm #247722
jj-cf-stlParticipantJust keep managing the game Matz, you don’t have to be perfect, just efficient.
April 12, 2024 at 9:29 pm #247723
jj-cf-stlParticipantNewman up, #9 spot, singles to start the bottom third.
Top of the order, 2nd time thru.
Popup, 1 down.April 12, 2024 at 9:31 pm #247725
jj-cf-stlParticipantCarol singles, and Walker makes a legit difficult play in RF to turn the DP. Well done.
Top of fourth, Scott up
April 12, 2024 at 9:33 pm #247726Sweet DP to extinguish the D-Back threat in the bottom if the 3rd. Am I seeing things…….or is Walker starting to play a much more confident right field?
April 12, 2024 at 9:34 pm #247727
jj-cf-stlParticipantWarning track flyout, one down
Top of the order for the third time (in just the fourth inning)April 12, 2024 at 9:36 pm #247728
jj-cf-stlParticipantDonovan single washed away by a Golden DP.
Bottom 4th, cleanup batter Walker due upApril 12, 2024 at 9:36 pm #247729Victor Scott putting a little warning track power on display tonight. Doubled to left in the 2nd on a ball over the left fielders head and now here in the 4th a fly to right which was caught. They may have to start playing him a bit deeper which will really start opening things up for Victor.
April 12, 2024 at 9:41 pm #247730
jj-cf-stlParticipantGroundout
Suarez singlesMatz was at 40 pitches to start the fourth.
April 12, 2024 at 9:41 pm #247731They are starting to put some decent wood on the bat vs Matz. Still 6-0 Birds, but that lead can evaporate in the blink of an eye if we’re not careful.
April 12, 2024 at 9:42 pm #247732
jj-cf-stlParticipantDP, 1-4-3, end of fourth
6-0 StlGorman due up
April 12, 2024 at 9:43 pm #247733Oh beautiful! Yet another inning ending twin killing….this one of the 1-4-3 variety.
April 12, 2024 at 9:46 pm #247734
jj-cf-stlParticipantMatz has 7, 8 & 9 scheduled up for the bottom 5th. Low pitch count
April 12, 2024 at 9:47 pm #247735Good to see the boys hustling down that 1st baseline.
April 12, 2024 at 9:48 pm #247736
jj-cf-stlParticipant3 up, 3 down for us
Bottom 5th, 6-0
April 12, 2024 at 9:53 pm #247737
jj-cf-stlParticipantMatz starts the inning at 54 pitches
#7 flyout
#8 Matz panics and can’t field a squibber.
#9 RBI double
6-1April 12, 2024 at 9:54 pm #247738
jj-cf-stlParticipantClear the mechanism
April 12, 2024 at 9:58 pm #247739
jj-cf-stlParticipantLeadoff Marte up, man on 2nd, singles
6-2
Groundout, 2 down, we thinkApril 12, 2024 at 9:59 pm #247740Big possible run out there on 2nd base for AZ with 2 outs here in the 5th in a 6-2 St. Louis ballgame.
