A couple of errors have added some pitches to his evening. But overall it’s been a solid start for him. I think he’ll go back out there but someone will probably be warming up.

I commented on this in Pallante’s last couple starts. Teams generally are waiting out Andre watching him throw lots of balls. He’s often about 3-5” off the plate. Unlike Mikolas where teams swing away like crazy because he throws mostly strikes.

Having Noot in CF probably just made that a hit and now that both takes a QS away from Pallante and might lead to a tie game.

L Baker just hit number 31. He’s not hitting as well as last year, but is still mashing just as many homers.

Man, bad base running has hurt us tonight – but then they have been on balls that are tough to read.

Lots of bad breaks tonight as Pham drops a sliding catch that was in his glove.

Andres whip (1.24) was not bad tonight, and the BAbip of .188 was favorable.

In positive news, Walker has a triple and just added a home run tonight.

Fernandez has poured gasoline on the fire now. A couple bad outings in a row for him.

Was going to say this looks ominous but then they steal and a single occurs. 3-2

Fernandez has a 6.52 ERA since July 10th. That figures to skyrocket after this game. He’s been terrible since the ASB.
