Last hit by a starter was by Goldschmit in the 4th inning at Atlanta!
October 12, 2019 at 4:28 pm #111409Here come the hits!!!
October 12, 2019 at 4:33 pm #111410I guess one has to swing the bat to get a hit.
October 12, 2019 at 4:33 pm #111411Carp, you cannot take that two strike pitch! You have to swing if a pitch is close.
Edman does the same.
October 12, 2019 at 4:34 pm #111412Again swing the bat
October 12, 2019 at 4:34 pm #111413Worst at bat of the postseason? Absolutely horrible.
October 12, 2019 at 4:35 pm #111415Embarrassing does not even start to describe this team’s hitting. Blow it up at years end .
October 12, 2019 at 4:43 pm #111416When you have no hits by your starters in 20 some innings it’s no longer time to tip your cap schildt. Let’s start hitting and at least make this competitive
October 12, 2019 at 4:46 pm #111417Again, six good innings and only one run from the Cardinal starter. Wainwright has kept his team in the game. The offense needs to pick things up!
October 12, 2019 at 4:46 pm #111418Well Waino is certainly doing HIS job. Were’s the rest of the team.
October 12, 2019 at 4:48 pm #111419Waino has been money again today.
October 12, 2019 at 4:49 pm #111420It’s hard to imagine they would top last night, but they are. I heard a lot of booing after the 5th. It’s embarrassing to be this mismatched. Is there another assistant hitting coach they can fire before the trip to DC?
The score is 1-0 in the 6th of Game 2 and this series already has a lost feel about it. Cardinals batters just aren’t being competitive. And as pointed out, it started in Atlanta the last several innings against the Braves scrub pitchers with all the no-purpose hacking.
Mikolas represented very well and Wainwright again today, just striking out Soto again to end the top of the 6th. Not much more you could ask of them. Time for the offense to come out of its coma.
October 12, 2019 at 4:52 pm #111421I’m guessing we will hear the cliche simple minded baseball lines in post game…”tip your cap” and the rest of the easily predictable lines our team uses.
October 12, 2019 at 4:53 pm #111422Yeah let’s tip our cap to the last 8 pitchers who have thrown. Everyone is just unhittable
October 12, 2019 at 4:54 pm #111423No hit through six innings again. Fifteen innings against Washington pitching and only one hit. Really hard to win when you cannot get a hit.
October 12, 2019 at 4:55 pm #111424This is pathetic. I’m sorry but I had to get that off my chest
October 12, 2019 at 4:55 pm #111425Wishful thinking but not optimistic- this no hit performance will convince our ownership this club needs men that swing the bat and actually lift weights.
October 12, 2019 at 5:02 pm #111426Another good inning from Wainright. Heart of the order coming up. Praying for something from our offense!
October 12, 2019 at 5:04 pm #111427Finally a hit! Now get some more!
October 12, 2019 at 5:07 pm #111428It sure feels like they are down by 10, not 1.
October 12, 2019 at 5:08 pm #111429I feels like 10 when you have 2 hits in 22 innings
October 12, 2019 at 5:10 pm #111430The Cardinal hitters look totally over matched. Hoping Martinez pulls Scherzer due to pitch count. Maybe then the Cards will have a chance.
October 12, 2019 at 5:15 pm #111431If Adams hit that out I might have cried
October 12, 2019 at 5:22 pm #111432That is a back breaker. It will be very hard to score more than three runs today. I could be wrong, but things do not look promising at the moment.
Wainright deserved more.
October 12, 2019 at 5:23 pm #111434Game over. Waino was great but wasn’t left in to long there in the 8th inning. Not that it matter this offense stinks so bad it is not even funny
