Oh oh!!!!!
I should not have spoke.
April 5, 2019 at 4:57 pm #86007Big fat fastball and Leone’s homer problem comes back. 2-1 Padres and their killer bullpen to come.
April 5, 2019 at 4:58 pm #86008God, I hate Leone. Lead-off walk and a bomb!
Dudbutt
April 5, 2019 at 4:58 pm #86009Renfroe with a bomb and the Priests are up 2-1
April 5, 2019 at 5:03 pm #86011Big Hoss with homer aspirations, but Marcell….after nearly turning the wrong way….camps under it at the track and has it to retire the side, but damage done as they hit us with a 2 spot here in the 6th to grab a 2-1 lead.
April 5, 2019 at 5:04 pm #86012Our good friend Robert Stock on in relief for the Pads.
April 5, 2019 at 5:11 pm #86013Nice sort of gapper by Marp, now a Goldy walk…this would be a great time for Ozuna to break out of the slump.
April 5, 2019 at 5:12 pm #86014Isn’t it time for Ozuna’s weekly hit?
April 5, 2019 at 5:13 pm #86015Yes, it was!!!
April 5, 2019 at 5:14 pm #86016There we go, Marcell! Pokes one into right and the game is tied at 2!
April 5, 2019 at 5:18 pm #86017Stock freezes Goldy on a 98mph heater over the outside corner for out #2 here in the Redbird 6th with Carp still hanging out over at 2nd base…..let’s stay with the action shall we?
DeJong – Walks.
Marcell – Would love to see Rat’s Ozuna home run prediction come to fruition right here and now…..Rat is usually right. Wow….Stock just hit 100 on the gun again. Marcell slaps a base hit to right and that will plate Carpenter! Tie ballgame with DeJong motoring around to 3rd! What’s this! The Pads are contending that Marcell’s batted ball clipped DeJong as it headed out to right field. Is that even reviewable? Sweet….no reversal!
Yadi grounds out 6-4. But all of you Dominic Leone fans can breath a sigh of relief as he now cannot be saddled with the loss. 2-2 as mosey along to the 7th.
April 5, 2019 at 5:19 pm #86018The Big Bear who can only hit singles needs a new nickname.
April 5, 2019 at 5:21 pm #86020Can I please see a hands up sign for any and all Dominic Leone fans
UCONN…..you can’t play.
April 5, 2019 at 5:24 pm #86021Reyes getting squeezed. Two of those balls in the last at bat were strikes!
April 5, 2019 at 5:25 pm #86022Reyes walks Reyes and the first two Pads reach base here in the 7th via the free pass…..not good!
April 5, 2019 at 5:25 pm #86023I am so ready for ball and strike calls moving to using technology and called by machines.
April 5, 2019 at 5:27 pm #86024Nightmare time
April 5, 2019 at 5:27 pm #86025Nightmare time
April 5, 2019 at 5:27 pm #86026I’m at the point right now that Reyes needs to get his stuff figured out in Memphis. He’s been very unimpressive so far.
April 5, 2019 at 5:28 pm #86027Reyes is way over-tentative, and now throwing the ball to the backstop. I really really hope we aren’t seeing the beginning of an Ankiel-like turn here.
April 5, 2019 at 5:31 pm #86028Reyes gives the game away. His control is severely lacking, both in and out of the zone. Pen doesn’t seem to be his thing for now. I think he’s been ineffective every time out.
April 5, 2019 at 5:31 pm #86029Reyes just serves up a 2 run bomb and Ozuna watches it soar over his head.
April 5, 2019 at 5:31 pm #86030If we can get out of this 7th with only the 1 tally ….. now Fernando Tatis Jr. goes yard to left and suddenly the Birds find themselves on the short side of a 5-2 ballgame.
April 5, 2019 at 5:31 pm #86031This one is now wide open. It’s appropriate, really…the Padres have looked like the far better team so far.
April 5, 2019 at 5:31 pm #86032Go to Memphis, Alex!
