Knizner has looked spry back there, managing to get in front of everything Waino and now Hicks have thrown.

Ugh, a free pass issued by Hicks to Contreras with one out after being ahead in the count. Hopefully Hicks has some of that workaround magic that Wainwright had.

It looks like Hicks came in and was relaxed and hitting his spots. When Contreras didn’t chase and he ended up walking, it seemed Hicks melted down a little. I really wonder if he is doubting himself right now. If so, he needs to go back to starting.

Hicks is just like Rosenthal. You never know what you are going to get. He needs to go to Memphis and work on the consistency and throwing strikes.

If so, he needs to go back to starting.
Why would you make a 2 pitch pitcher a starter when he’s been just fine in the bullpen? Maybe he shouldn’t be closing, but he’s going to (rightly) stay in the pen.
