    Paid - Annual

Wainwright did a great job pitching out of the jam.

Wainwright works around the problems for a scoreless 3rd. Had to throw 9 extra pitches to cover for the ump’s missed call and the error.

LOL at Aquino arguing the called 3rd strike on an uncle charlie that pretty much split the plate in half at his belt.

This would be a good low pressure game for Carp to get going again. He was swinging for the fences on the first pitch. He ends up striking out.

Nice start so far for Waino. He’s through 5 innings with no runs allowed and he’s at 62 pitches.

Seems like nothing changes, no noticeable adjustments. After his 3rd AB tonight, his OPS is .580 since returning.

Wong, on the other hand, just got another oppo hit. Hats off to him for what he’s doing recently.

Fowler just drove in Yadi for a 9-0 lead.

Now Edman drives in Wong and the ball is thrown away at third. It’s 11-0!

My Scottish Ale sure has a good flavor tonight. Cards up 12-0. Bowman still in the game, I guess taking one for the team.

These games where we crush the opponents and don’t give up many runs are a lot of fun.

Haha at Chris Welsh describing some of the analytics on hit probability and explaining how the Cards have a lucky 12-0 lead because the hits shouldn’t be hits, they just happen to be falling in there. Brennaman agreed with him, but then added “you’re exactly right, I mean some of them have been killed, the home runs are a whole different game . . . . but you’re right.” Funny stuff.

How did we go from 1-2 to 12-0? Needed at least one or two of these hits last night. Uh–oh? Hope we don’t need all 12 runs.

    Wong at 277?
    9 HR
    43 RBI

Can he get out of #8?

I never put it together until now, but Dexter Fowler must be the poster know as atripleshyofthecycle.

I’m surprised that they left Wainwright in. He’s earned his keep.

Waino was decent…and he was very good while the game was still in doubt. 6-2/3 is acceptable in that park.

I’m surprised too Diz. This was a chance to give Edman some work on the mound (sorry, couldn’t resist).

Wainwright came out in the 7th with two outs. Carp let one go through the wicket or else Wainwright Would have completed the 7th. Brebbia finished the 7th by retiring the first batter he faced. Cards lead 13-4.

I think Carpenter found most every way to not get a hit in this game…K, pop out, line out, ground out, walk.

Bucs just walk it off against the cubs with 2 outs in the 9th, 3-2. Heartbreak Hotel week for the cubs.

The Cubs took a 2-1 lead in the 8th, but the Pirates come back and win it on a walk off single with the bases juiced to win it 3-2. The Cards should gain a game and the Cubs lose in cruel fashion once again. 😁
