stlcard25ParticipantWho says Marp can’t play 3rd?? The nice play and a lob gets the runner at first.
August 15, 2019 at 7:39 pm #102284Watched the last Card abs on Gameday. Gray’s living on the edge and out off the strike zone tonight. Should be able to coax some walks out of him if we only swing at the strikes. Can’t let the ones definitely in the zone go by.Had roast beef with mac and chess tonight Pugs
August 15, 2019 at 7:41 pm #102285Finally a hit
August 15, 2019 at 7:42 pm #102286
stlcard25ParticipantWooster, Gray has walked three and has hit Marp with a pitch.
Fowler now singles to end the no-no. Can Marp break this one open?
August 15, 2019 at 7:44 pm #102287What a weak swing by Carpenter for strike 3. 10 of the 15 outs are strikeouts, woof.
August 15, 2019 at 7:46 pm #102288this lack of offensive output is frustrating. The Redbirds have had opportunities and cannot take advantage. Way too many strikeouts …
August 15, 2019 at 7:46 pm #102289
stlcard25ParticipantI feel like the Cards are the anti pitch tipping team. Their pitchers go through stretches where it sure seems they are tipping and can’t figure it out, and they never seem to just have the number of the other pitcher. Marp Ks and that’s runners stranded in scoring position three innings in a row.
August 15, 2019 at 7:47 pm #102290this lack of offensive output is frustrating.
Why it’s time to sit Carpenter and let others give it a shot. Just refuses to go back to what worked for him.
August 15, 2019 at 7:50 pm #102292After 5 innings, the Cards have 10 strikeouts. Five have been looking, some with RISP. What is the hitting philosophy that was emphasized a couple days ago? It’s tough to waste what is looking like a good outing by Wacha, but now there are two on, no outs in the 5th for the Reds.
August 15, 2019 at 7:51 pm #102293
stlcard25ParticipantWacha is losing it. Seems unlikely that the Reds will let him get away with his struggle.
August 15, 2019 at 7:52 pm #102294Need a strikeout now
August 15, 2019 at 7:54 pm #102295Needed to go to first when he got off balanced and get an out.
August 15, 2019 at 7:55 pm #102296Yep … makes it harder.
August 15, 2019 at 7:55 pm #102297
stlcard25ParticipantSee, that’s how you take advantage of your opponent’s mistakes. Wacha has been better than expected so far but he looks worn out.
August 15, 2019 at 8:02 pm #102298
stlcard25ParticipantSuarez just kills this team. 2-0 Reds, which feels like a nearly insurmountable lead against this offense.
August 15, 2019 at 8:04 pm #102300All things considered, horrible inning for Wacha and yet, the damage was minimized.
August 15, 2019 at 8:05 pm #102301
stlcard25ParticipantI feel like Ervin starts every game against St Louis but he hardly has any stats. Wacha lucks out of the inning with two runs allowed.
August 15, 2019 at 8:10 pm #102302God awful at bat by Ozuna
August 15, 2019 at 8:12 pm #102303Looks like Wachas done. Could have been alot worse.Drives me crazy seeing so many LOB. Time to start taking some chances. Don’t think this is gonna be a shoot out. Still within reach but definitely need to hit the strikes!
August 15, 2019 at 8:16 pm #102304Wild looking strikeouts by Goldy and Ozuna in the 6th. Are these guys drinking all the beer before the game? It’s been bad before, but I don’t recall them looking any worse than tonight.
August 15, 2019 at 8:16 pm #102305Galvis with a nice at bat. Webb’s pitch was pretty good.
August 15, 2019 at 8:25 pm #102306Glad it’s not but how is a batted ball off the batter not something they can review and even so, how did all four umpires miss that?
August 15, 2019 at 8:31 pm #102307Lorenzen in for the 7th. Maybe this is the Cards’ chance to get back in it.
August 15, 2019 at 8:41 pm #102308cubs look to be winning comfortably in the 8th, so it’d be nice if the Cards could steal this one late. Though it feels improbable with the poor showing so far, it takes just one inning like we saw last night.
August 15, 2019 at 8:44 pm #102309Helsley looked very good in the 7th.
