Wong now loads the bases with a bunt that is botched by the Royals battery. I see stlcard can pull the trigger a bit quicker than I.
Arozarena up with the bases juiced. Can he pull a Lane Thomas? He takes a mighty cut for the first strike. Settles in to a full count. He’s probably going to get a pitch to hit here…he hits one that clips Molina and will score the run, but we have some confusion. Well, still no one out and the bases juiced as the Cards register 6 straight hits with Fowler up, looking for more.
Arozarena gets his first hit to drive in a run and keep the bases load. No outs, Cards up 3-0. Now Fowler hit a sac fly to make it 4-0. Cards have six hits so far this inning with just one out.
Fowler with the sac fly, 4-0. Sloppy play by the Royals now although Edman couldn’t have been thrown out there anyway. Another run scores and it’s 5-0.
Edman drive in the 5th run on a fielder’s choice.
Hey Pugs, nine runs is not looking completely out of the question now.
No-hitter? Six straight singles? A Sac Fly and a ground out score another two, and it looks like we blew them out with great hitting. 5-0, without an extra base hit.
Goldy with the worst at bat of the inning, ironically. He looked like he was just wanting to swing no matter what the last couple of pitches. Perhaps he was trying to prevent Pugs’ prediction from coming true. Still, it’s a crooked number and we are in business.

Nice play by the two Pauls to end the 7th. To DeJong’s credit, he has not let his inconsistency at the plate carry over to defense, or at least that’s what I think without checking the numbers.
Royals broadcasters were saying Webb has a funky pitching motion. I had never thought about it before, but to me he sort of looks like a guy who is naturally right handed throwing it left handed. Looks just a bit awkward.
Now DeJong follows up his fine defense with a HR blast to left center. Score is 6-0.
I agree ChiTown. I did not have good expectations for Webb. He’s had his bad moments, but overall he’s been an asset.
Euro, the “expectations” term is spot on. This bullpen is solid 1-6 and Junior F might end up being good down the stretch also.
