Nice to win. That Ozuna play was truly cringe-worthy. Glad he didn’t end up hurt and that it didn’t cost a run.
858booyah, I’m really hoping for 7 innings from Jack today. That’s a lot to ask, but the kid has it in him.
CMart was in the dugout last night. I’m thinking that he might get activated today and assigned to the bullpen.
Mud, I believe that Jen Langosch said that Cmart is slated for a bullpen throwing session later this week. So I’m thinking it will be next week at the earliest.
So if CMart is activated, who goes down? Who has options? Brebbia, Mayers, Leone???
It would have to be Gallegos or Webb, right?
If the coaches think CMart isn’t ready yet, they won’t take a chance on getting him injured by activating him today. That’s for sure. So we will probably see Gallegos and Webb tonight. Overusing the bullpen has been working so far for Shildt although it’s bound to catch up with him at some point. I like the way that he goes after the win that’s in front of him rather than worry about the next game or the one after it.
MLB Radio is all over the Ozuna play from last night. As you might expect they are not being kind.
Sometimes Ozuna makes JMart look like a gold glover. How Ozuna won the award I will never know. It is like he magically forgot how to field and hit once he left Miami and came to St. Louis.
Reminds me of Andres Galarraga and Tino Martinez. Why do we have to get the bad version?
I have a rules question. When Jose Martinez pinch hit last night with 2 outs I was thinking Fowler (I think) might try and steal second. If Fowler was caught stealing, would Jmart have to bat the next inning? Or is SChildt free to use another pinch hitter? I think the latter is true, but I am not sure.
