I’m a firm believer that Herrera is indeed on a quest to surpass Ron Hunt’s MLB HBP record of 50 in a season. I wish him well and pray none of those pitches hits a vulnerable spot.
July 4, 2026 at 9:36 pm #311930Yeah, it’s out of hand, Pugs.
Edit…He’s been victimized 7 times more than his nearest competitor for that honor.-

July 4, 2026 at 9:42 pm #311933And, in my view, he doesn’t come anywhere near to consistently crowding or leaning out over HP.
July 4, 2026 at 9:43 pm #311934Got him smack dab on the footie bone…
July 4, 2026 at 9:46 pm #311935Looks almost like the Fog Bowl. Leahy with some real nice work through 5 on 77 pitches.
July 4, 2026 at 9:48 pm #311936Crowbar got spun around like Linda Blair…
July 4, 2026 at 10:03 pm #311937I’m surprised they are still playing. You can barely see and anything hit to the OF I don’t know how they will be able to track the ball.
July 4, 2026 at 10:03 pm #311938The Astros claw back from a 6-2 deficit to hang a 10-8 final up on the board in Houston and prevent the Rays from attaining their 10th consecutive W. Many counted the Astros out of contention after a sluggish start, but I think they’ll win the ALW. Alvarez is really punishing AL pitchers at the moment and will most likely continue to do so as he heats up for the second half.
July 4, 2026 at 10:03 pm #311939We need to loft some nice high fly balls……anywhere in the outfield.
July 4, 2026 at 10:06 pm #311940Yeah, it looks dicey out there, Albert. I guess what’s fair for one is fair for the other, but I hope no one gets conked on the coconut.
July 4, 2026 at 10:07 pm #311941Looks like we’re in a fog delay. Maybe it’s best just to call the game and put it in the books.
And Rat with another great call about this one probably going into a fog delay. He projected this delay 2 days ago……..God knows how Rat does it?
July 4, 2026 at 10:08 pm #311942Place a box fan up above the ivy on the brick wall and play the game…
July 4, 2026 at 10:14 pm #311943I don’t think they’ll place it in the books, Pugs. More than likely they’ll begin the game from the visitor half of the 7th tomorrow before the final game of this series, but only the umpires and baseball gypsies know for sure.
July 4, 2026 at 10:22 pm #311944I’m not sure who or what ends up with the say so regarding when the visibility has improved enough to continue the game. The umpires certainly can’t ask for any input from the two managers as each one is biased for different reasons. We’ll see what happens.
July 4, 2026 at 10:23 pm #311945And just as I finish keying that in, we’ve got action.
July 4, 2026 at 10:26 pm #311946And Nate’s aboard with some speed.
July 4, 2026 at 10:30 pm #311947Counsell’s now burned 4 BP arms in less than 2 innings.
July 4, 2026 at 10:32 pm #311948Lead it 2-0 heading to the bottom of the 7th, but this game will be a tough one to win. Too many missed scoring opportunities by a visiting team under these circumstances almost always spells “doom”. Not to be a Davey Downer, but I’d give us about a 20% chance of attaining victory
July 4, 2026 at 10:33 pm #311949Man alive…That’s 3 Cardinal GIDP’s.
July 4, 2026 at 10:35 pm #311950With Stanek entering the game you can lower those odds, Pugs, as he immediately allows a base hit.

July 4, 2026 at 10:37 pm #311952Oh my…..that that Dansby long one to left-center was gone…….thank God that wind knocked it down.
July 4, 2026 at 10:40 pm #311953Stanek tried his best to toss it into the fire, but Swanson just missed it.
July 4, 2026 at 10:41 pm #311954Absolutely, positively need to push this lead-off double across.
July 4, 2026 at 10:45 pm #311955Burly’s the man! 3-0 Good Guys and those odds just went from 20% to 35%.
July 4, 2026 at 10:45 pm #311956Burleson scratches and claws to push a huge run across HP.
