Welp, despite what I said earlier, it might be time to save some runs for tomorrow.

And the pen should get rested up today.

We’re only half way through the 5th. By the time this game’s over, every Cardinal in today’s line-up may be hitting .300 or better.

Too bad we didn’t still have Roycroft, as this would be the perfect time to hand him the ball.

Pallante’s still working on the CG shutout…

I think he’s got the CG shutout in the bag.

If the Cardinals can somehow find a way to hang on to this lead, Pallante will collect his 10th W to place him tied for 2nd in the Big Leagues. I know that many will dispute the importance of that pitching category, but I continue to think that W’s matter.

The kids are now in the process of padding their arb #’s.

I am only a little worried about turning it over to the pen.

At the gym and checking in. 16-0! Holy cow! Wish we could store some of those up for the next two. You always wonder if the series will be a “1960 World Series” affair where we lose the next two 4-3 and 2-0.

    Perish the thought!

Sheesh – whenever I am at the gym and hit “submit”, nothing happens. So I wait to make sure and hit “submit” again. From now on I will only hit it once and if it does not update so be it.

    Sorry gang.

As long as Pallante was working on the CG shutout, I didn’t think we’d see any action coming from the BP…I was wrong again. Oh well, I just hope we preserve a couple of BP arms for tomorrow in case it don’t rain.

Hey, Bikemike, I had to read your comment more than once, but after doing so, it made perfect sense!

I really should hit the sack (it’s 12:30 a.m.) but hey, who can leave in the middle of all this offense?

I’d be terribly remiss in not recognizing our 2nd base umpire for today’s slaughter. Some of our seasoned posters may recall about 15 years or so ago when I often commented on a Midwest league umpire whom I gave the name “Eagle Eye’. I praised his calling of the action and said he was a “can’t miss” future MLB umpire. That man is Brock “Eagle Eye” Ballou.
