Interesting to have Stanek rather than Romero pitch to the lefty. Romero had been used two days in a row, including the blowout in game 2 vs. the Mets. The cost of being a reliever short for that game.

Gomez is the only Twin reliever with an ERA below 4, and he’s in the 3.8 range.

A 3 run lead and you start giving away BB’s to charity…I don’t get it.

My goodness…I have to send him on that base hit to RF.

After two K’s, Blaze slows himself down, takes a ball, fights on, and gets a single. Good to see him come back there.

Nice! I thought sure that was a GIDP when it left Fermin’s bat.

1td–I’m wondering if Graceffo will ultimately get replaced in the pen. jnevel mentioned some possibilities, and Gastelum has been strong lately, too.

FWIW, I was hoping they would hold Torres on the single. RF arm, and only one out.

That at bat by Jordan is the reason he is up here. One million times better at bat than Gorman was producing over the past month.

Then a lucky break on a hard hit Fermin grounder gives us back the lead.

I don’t think Graceffo gets replaced Gagliano. I think JoJo, Stanek, and O’Brien are traded. Maybe Bruihl too. I could see Gastellum getting there too as he is rule 5 eligible at end of year.

Burleson comes all the way around from 1B to score on the Walker double and all of a sudden the Cardinals are frightened to send a runner from 2B on a base hit.

Up 18-3 going into the 9th against the Sod Poodles, I’m hoping Springfield can hang on tonight in their home run fest game.

In this case 1TD, it sure looked like he would have been out of Pop had sent him so I think it was a good call holding him.

Speaking of home run fests . . . Stanek is in the wrong business tonight.

Graceffo’s xFIP is 5.15. If they decide to make a push for the playoffs, I’m not sure that plays.

And…Stanek gives up another dinger. Could have used a deep fly ball from Herrera. And Buxton is now guaranteed to get another at bat if it goes a full 9 innings.

I’d guess Stanek finishes the 8th, Roycroft the 9th, and then it’s Svanson time.

Stanek needs a bus ticket to anywhere.

I don’t think Graceffo’s going anywhere real soon, Gags. but I’d send Stanek to Ore Ida…The guy’s a one man tater factory.

Those are not cheap home runs Stanek is surrendering. Those have all been mammoth no-doubters.

YIkes! Three different Stanek pitches they homered on, too.

I typically like Ollie’s bullpen decisions. But tonight I was a bit puzzled when he took Graceffo out after 2/3 of an inning to go with another righty in Stanek. Graceffo had walked 2, but they were competitive walks. It just seemed like an odd move. I would have understood Romero with the lefty coming up, but why Stanek? I’m sure he’ll have to answer that postgame.

I certainly couldn’t have recorded any outs, but even I could serve up 3 taters in an inning of work in the Big Leagues…

Raniel Rodriguez has his third consecutive multi-hit game with Springfield. He has an OPS of .922 in I believe 41 PA in June.

Heck, I could even do that in the Fantasy Leagues…
