    Speaking of Goldschmidt…….

He’s not doing much with the Yankers this year. Only appeared in about ten games with only one dong. Plus he’s hitting under .200.

I wonder if he would be DFA’d in the near future? If so, and we happen to still be in the wild card hunt, any chance we might bring him back and perhaps catch lightning in a bottle?

Wetherholt and Herrera are HBP machines

Herrera drills a double down the line in left with JJ slapping on the brakes at 3rd with 1 out.

They sure are, Albert…..Herrera also being a base on balls machine.

That was a rocket off of Burly’s bat

My only soft drinks now are Dr. Pepper on road trips and ginger ale on planes. Shifted to fruit for a lot more of my snacks. I’m waiting for cherries to be in season.

    Bikemike-

Are you talking removing Dotel last night? His other two appearances this year he only went 1 and 1.2 innings. Barco going to long tonight means their pen, other than Dotel, should be good to go tomorrow. We might see a position player soon. Those last two games are gonna be hard. Dobbins drawing Skenes for his first Cards game is a rude welcome.

I’m really looking forward to watching Winn and Weatherholt up the middle for a long while to go…

Now it’s the old Don Meredith time back in his MNF days – “turn out the lights, the party’s over.”

Wooster here checking in Pugs! Saw the end of the game last night. Tieing run a the plate bottom of 9 th had me a bit concerned but we pulled it out! Had to watch it in 3 games at once live look in. Hard to see for me. Leahy looks like he’s getting better every game. Weatherholt with a power surge is nice too. Bottom of lineup missing at the plate again. Had pizza hut tonight. Limited carbs-protein and non surgery drinks is the way to go if you can.

    Rats-

About Goldy…I think with the old management that would be more likely. My sense is that they want to let the kids play this year. But I wouldn’t mind letting Pozo go and having a righty 1B to sub for Burly now and then. And it would likely get us a hall of famer on the roster this year.

Yeah Gags, I understand the whole “bullpen game” thing, but the way Dotel was going you have to adjust. He was warmed up and throwing strikes. You take advantage of that and let him go until he struggles a bit. Playing push button manager rather than managing by what is actually going is not the best way to run things in my opinion.

Wooster in the house…..sweet! Nice pizza din-din, Wooster. Thanks for all of the anti-sugary drink talk, gang…..I may never have a soft drink again ……but I will indulge in a hard drink or two with my beloved Wild Turkey.

Bruihl not impressing anyone, unless you are a Buc fan or hitter.

These games against the Pirates don’t make sense. Does anybody understand what’s really going on?

    Pugs. Please explain this.

I’d love to explain the Cards-Pirates mystic, Mudville, but I just now cracked open the Wild Turkey. I should have a reasonable response to your question in about 30 minutes or 3 drinks from now, whichever one comes first.

My game got cancelled tonight because of rain but im still out here cleaning up. Nice to see the pirates are still the pirates. You would think a team losing as much as they have just by odds would at some point have a good team. Nice to see they can even screw the odds up.

I have walked across the Clemente bridge to a Pirate-Cardinal game. Skenes pitched and we beat him 2-1.

This Pirate team is better than they have shown tonight ‘82. They will be above .500 this year if their rotation stays healthy.

An untidy ending but enjoyable game nonetheless.

I see I missed a fun one tonight! Traveling for work plus meetings cost me a good Cardinals over the Pirates butt kicking. Kudos to Rats for predicting the big win!
