Pitch was on the low inside corner but that’s typically a power lefty’s wheelhouse.
Overall aside from a frustrating walk or two, Pallante was good tonight. I’m not sure what to think about his 8 strikeouts and only 4 or 5 ground outs. He still needs to keep the ball on the ground when it is hit.
And he walks another hitter. Because that’s what we do.
Bruihl induces a grounder and Wetherholt makes a nice quick turn and win fires his cannon to nab the 2nd for a double play. That’s one way to fix the walks. We have a really nice combo up the middle.
The Cardinals haven’t done a real good job in regards to forcing the Seattle pitcher to work for his money.
This Car Shield looks like it’s getting to be a big money maker. I would have never thought that people would need two types of insurance on a single vehicle.
Starting from April 14, the game after Walker hit his last home run, Walker has 32 at bats and 15 strikeouts. He’s walked 3 times and has 6 hits.
I actually think he was never good. He is such a guess hitter and he so often guesses wrong. For whatever reason, he had about a 10-game stretch where he was suddenly guessing right and he became uber confident. Tonight he doesn’t look like he belongs in the Major Leagues. He is missing a huge piece of his development in pitch recognition. He needs to somehow go back and get that piece.
And a solid base hit from Winn to lead off the home half chases the Seattle SP’er. I won’t miss him too much.
The whole lower part of our order when they hit the ball it sounds exactly like a paddle hitting a ping pong ball.
Graceffo challenges Naylor with a 2-2 fastball to retire him with the K. He’s been way better than respectable.
