Every time I see a baserunner attempting to advance from 2B to 3B on a deep fly ball to the CF, I think of Rick Ankiel.

Man, Walker looks better but still takes a lot of pitches he should jump on and hammer.

Kirby’s stature and delivery appears very similar to O’Riley O’Brien’s.

Yeah, Bikemike, and I’ve noticed that he still has a strong tendency to chase after a pitch that even Ty Cobb couldn’t hit.

Ozzie in the house. Saw he is signing at the National Sports Collectors Convention this year. I met him at a show and got his signature a few years ago. Great guy – got him to laugh out loud in our conversation.

Pallante gives up an RBI slow chopper to basically where a SS normally stands. No big deal there. That was poor contact, which is normally a good thing. The problem was the free pass and the fact that he’s one of the easiest pitchers to steal off of, which that combo left the first hitter in scoring position.

And I agree Bling. That was very poor throw from Fermin.

Man, Walker is flailing at the pitch off the outside again too often. Anything on the outer half with less than two strikes he needs to let go. He did attack a 3-2 pitch in the zone there, fouling it off. Then grounds a pitch up and in for a force out.

I’m trying not to get too excited but Gorman’s now hitting .228 on the young season…Hey, it’s 10 pts. above his career BA.

Chase Davis just hit his 2nd 2-run homer of the night to go along with a single. It would be great if that guy could ever figure out hitting because he’s a very good center fielder. I really hope this is his year.

I don’t have too much of an issue regarding the 2 out BB to Raleigh.
