Walker’s arm prevents the runner going first to third and surprises the trailing runner who gets caught in a rundown. Players are quickly learning not to try for an extra base on Walker.

Yeah, it was a nice play and throw to quickly get it back to IF, but really lousy baserunning from Marsee. He has to see what’s happening right in front of him.

Rare misfire from Winn’s right arm for the throwing error E-6.

Let’s see if May can pick up his SS and work around the E.

Burleson probably should have had it from Winn but it did take a tricky hop.

This may be May’s last hitter.

Good start by May. Not a full 6 but only 1 run allows and I’ll take it

He’s down to under 6.00 and has a chance to sport a 3-2 W/L record after tonight’s turn.

I don’t love all our strikeouts lately. 12 more thus far in this one. We have been over 10 a lot lately. Certainly something to clean up as we develop.

At the ballpark again tonight so not getting to watch. But nice job by maye. Turning in to what we need. Decent offense it seems. My team hit a lot better tonight. One of my kids ditched school so parent kept him home which was right call. Left us with 8 but one of coaches who i coached when he was young also coaches 7 8 year old and let his kid play for me. Got a hit first at bat. Sparked our lineup. Got beat anyway but we didnt ge shut out. Scored 6 runs, kids were into it. Had a good ole time.

Sounds like a terrific night Willie! Any night at the ballpark with kiddos is a good night.

Happy Anniversary Mike and we had spaghetti too tonight! Games been in hand so far tonight. Don’t like those non scoring bases loaded situations but that’s baseball for you. Pitchings been good so far. Almost there

Nice going, Willie. The only things in baseball that matter more than winning are to play hard and have fun…It’s a game that will always belong to the kiddos!

And on the other side of the equation, our pen continues to walk players. Close pitches by Stanek. But still. Bruihl hit 2 guys. Now Stanek walked 2.

    Congrats on 25 years Bikemike!

How much runway does Victor get if he continues to struggle at the plate? Is sending him to Memphis an option or will his defense keep him on the roster? My guess is they will keep him on the roster until Nootbar is ready to be activated then a decision will be made.

Stanek continues to have no control. He better figure it out pretty soon or a decision will need to made about him.

But we are winning 5-1 so “yeah”!

And now Stanek has walked the bases loaded. There are two outs. Need just one out. But if Miami hits one out it’s a tie game.

Stanek’s beginning to take on the look of a RH’ed Brett Cecil…Or Repunzel.
