This O’Brien fellow is proving to be quite the reliable sort.

Glad to have the win but it feels like Cleveland lost that more than STL won it.

Church delivers the walkoff sac fly to right. 6-5 Good Guys your happy final.

I called it 6-3 Cards and Rat 7-3 Birds…..we were close, Rat.

Good win. Took some bad defense by the guardians to get it but thats ok.

It’s nice to see the youngsters not giving up despite the inane behavior of the one who’s charged with leading them. Back above sea level.

O’Brien and Romero have now collectively worked a little over 18 IP’ed without allowing a solitary ER. So far, they appear to be a formidable R/L punch late in a game. Both Graffeco and Soriano have performed well and if you work Leahy out of the BP, it could be effective if one or two additional arms can achieve respectability. The primary issue may well be that the little general has never displayed that he possesses even a sliver of a clue as to how to manipulate a BP.

Sorry he hasn’t sent Leahy to the bullpen yet. Anything else you want to pin on Oli in a rebuild?

Monday’s paid attendance was 17.9k and from the looks whenever the camera took in the stands the actual was far short of that.

    And?

Attendance has sucked for 2 plus seasons. They aren’t getting the fans who travel. It will take some time to get them back. Winning is likely the answer. We don’t appear to be in that mode just yet.

I’m still waiting for Saggesse to score. JAG in every way. It’s a rebuild. Play Church. Maybe he starts hitting and you have a player you can use going forward.
