McGreevy would be well advised to avoid the belt high zone…
April 14, 2026 at 7:20 pm #304869Skinny gate tonight. I count 2742, but I don’t wear my cheaters to watch TV.

ParticipantThat was an ugly at bat by wynn. 3-1 count and he takes a get me over 4 seamer for a strike, then watches it again with coubt full with cardinal runner and he gets thrown out. The guardinans player mystified me. He had the tag down low as the runner came in but raised to tag him high for whatever reason and runner was almost safe, still not sure he wasnt. Crazy. I see kids doing that but pros.
April 14, 2026 at 7:37 pm #304872Do opposing pitchers look bigger and stronger this season, or are we just routinely overmatched?
April 14, 2026 at 7:37 pm #304873No mismatch for JJ…TATER UP!
April 14, 2026 at 7:41 pm #304874Facing the LHP’er too and he turns on the FB and yanks it over the RF wall. Nice going.
April 14, 2026 at 7:45 pm #304876Scoot looking way more than a little shabby out there on that chance. Sheesh…

ParticipantI guess scott just lost that ball in the outfield. Kind of odd. Hasnt hurt so far since they got runner at home.
April 14, 2026 at 7:49 pm #304878Looked like he had it all the way and then…Uh oh!
April 14, 2026 at 7:55 pm #304879Whew, Scott runs down a deep drive to end the fourth after his misread almost cost a run.
I am always impressed with these recent Guardian clubs. They have been consistently competitive despite not being real big spenders. And they have kept their #1 guy, Ramirez.
1TD – on the schedule it seems like almost as many IL games are played, but actually only about a third, even a little less (50 or so) are inter-league. The schedules are basically about 50-55 games against divisional foes, 60 against non division league teams, and 50 inter-league. It looks like our schedule is weighted with a lot of IL games early.
April 14, 2026 at 7:59 pm #304880Oh, on the din-din front, the lovely Lady Bike and I teamed up to put together a fabulous vegetarian lasagna. We added a Caesar salad and garlic bread, and it was as good of a homemade lasagna as we have ever made.
April 14, 2026 at 8:06 pm #304881That vegetable lasagna sounds good, Bikemike. I would have never thought I would have cared for lasagna made like that and then one of Mrs. 1TD’s friends sent some over and it was outstanding.
April 14, 2026 at 8:09 pm #304883Our DH is hitting .077.
April 14, 2026 at 8:11 pm #304884Yeah, you don’t need meat for lasagna to be tasty. We try to have veggie meals a few times a week.
Pozo hits into a DP, but I think if he played everyday he would outhit Pages. And I don’t think his defense is any worse than Pedro’s, although am sort of winging it on saying that. But I thought I saw something where he is one of the better catchers at pitch framing.
April 14, 2026 at 8:12 pm #304885Out of town scoreboard update:
Reds win over the Giants 2-1 at Crosley Field.
The Cubs lead the Phillies 7-3 in the 7th at Veterans Stadium.
Milwaukee over Toronto 3-1 in the 5th at County Stadium.
Washington leading the Pirates 5-4 in the 7th at Forbes Field.
Mets and Doyers later tonight at Doyer Stadium.
April 14, 2026 at 8:20 pm #304887Call me crazy, but I think the majority of opponents should be division foes, Bikemike. I think it would improve the gate counts. Especially head to head division rivalries during matchups when the standings were still somewhat tight and the outcomes of those games were certain to effect the gaining or losing of ground. Those types of games can take on the same high stakes feel and atmosphere as any post-season game. Especially when the division rivalries are of the bitter variety during the last couple of months of the regular season.

ParticipantGuardians line up is pretty good except for the cleanup hitter. I dont have any idea why he is even in the major leagues.
April 14, 2026 at 8:25 pm #304889Herrera standing in looks like he is posing for the Heisman trophy.
April 14, 2026 at 8:27 pm #304890Wow, an 8-6 DP, what next?
April 14, 2026 at 8:38 pm #304891The next step is to explain to the young 2B’man that he has make certain that the baseball is going to touch grass.
April 14, 2026 at 8:39 pm #304892This year’s edition has placed several of these close games in the W column.
April 14, 2026 at 8:41 pm #304893Haha!…”Heisman Trophy” I mentioned the other day that he looks to be a little more wide open when standing in this season.
April 14, 2026 at 8:46 pm #304894Romero and O’Brien have now collectively worked 16 IP’ed without surrendering a solitary ER.
April 14, 2026 at 8:48 pm #304895Stanek…The little whiz-kid is attempting to outdo the little whiz-kid…
April 14, 2026 at 8:49 pm #304896This is easy to believe.
