Cards offense has gone quiet and squandered too many scoring opportunities early in the game. Cubs have methodically overtaken us. I can’t say that I like our chances at this point but you never know.

Matz has always looked to me as though he’s aiming his pitches as opposed to simply torqueing it up and letting it loose. He sometimes almost looks like he’s playing darts in a corner tavern as opposed to working a Big League pitching mound.

Crow-Armstrong really struggles vs quality ML pitching……but absolutely destroys lesser ones. Watch how he hits this coming post season….it won’t be overly impressive.
