You gotta be kidding! Is Nado drunk?

Well, 10 pitches is better than 6.

Happ’s batting gloves look similar to a daisy and butterfly patterned oven mitt…

Both hurlers sharp early. I like the Cubs road gray uni’s with “Chicago” across the front a lot better than their blue jerseys.

LOL Robinson had a honker to rival Bill Cosby! Vada’s was more aquiline 😉

Man, Pages only hitting .219?? Thought he was hitting more than that. His defense has not exactly been stellar so far either.

Yeah, I’d guess that’s probably about the BA he’s going to hit for, Bikemike, although he seems to come through with a key RBI hit at times.

That’s definitely Vada Pinson. Pinson is close to Hall of Fame worthy. Certainly a better player than some enshrined – I am looking at you Harold Baines.

And Dave Parker, for all his imposing presence, falls short of Vada’s numbers.

Chip and granddad Harry both called games for these two stories franchises. Still can’t understand Harry not being in the Cardinals Hall of Fame. He was baseball to millions of midwesterner’s for two decades.

Pinson ended up just shy of 2800 hits, could hit for some power and collected over 300 SB’s in his career. He was also a much better defender than Baines who spent most of his career as a DH. Vada possessed the same sort of OF mitt as a Mays, Flood or Clemente. In my view, what hurts Pinson is that he only played in one postseason which was the ’61 WS that the Reds lost to the Yankees by a 4 to 1 game margin.

Yeah, that’s 2 taters and 5 RBI’s in the last 5 games for the Nootz. He looks to have climbed out of the abyss.

Is Noot finally coming out of that awful slump he was in?

And PCA with a leadoff double and then run. Can someone remind me why the Mets traced PCA to the Cubs for Baez?

Uh oh…Now Liberatore can’t stand prosperity.

Man alive, that was close to being 4 consecutive hits. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Liberatore needs to pitch like he’s mad to escape this without further damage.

Based loaded with Happ up. Can we get a GIDP?

It always seems worse when a pitcher’s gifted a lead and he immediately fails to protect it.

Well there we go. Double play to get out of it. Hopefully Libby can protect that lead better in the 6th. I’m not sure regardless of pitch count if we see him in the 7th with the heat and the bump in innings from his prior year.

Hey 1TD, a question catching up. Does your birthday fall on the same of the week each year? Same concept for the anniversary of any given date. If something happened on a Tuesday one year, the next year it will be a Wednesday unless a leap year is involved, in which case it will move up 2 to Thursday. Same concept for any day of the week.

Haha…No, but my birthday, my son’s birthday, and my late brother’s birthday always fall on the same day of the week as they are a week and three weeks apart respectively.
