Roku fixed it so that I couldn’t watch, but they undoubtedly did me a favor. Not at all the way you want to start the month of June and the Cardinals won’t find any bargains in the 9 game homestand aisle with the Royals, Dodgers and Blue Jays. All three of those teams are above .500 and I still think the Dodgers are without question the best team in the Big Leagues.

It was a good day even in defeat. Spending time with two of my adult children meant more than the outcome of the game. On to the next one.

I’m afraid it was not an enjoyable evening of baseball for me.

I wonder if it was not a result of the Rat putting a chocolate milkshake on top of a slushy Mountain Dew. Ewwwwh.

Cubs now 4 games up and the Brew Crew is on a 7 game winning streak and only 1.5 back in third place.

With May and about a third of the season in the books I will have to say that the team – at 7 games over .500 – is a little better than I thought they’d be.

Beats being dead and buried for sure.

We’ll have to see how the rest of the season plays out There’s still time to reel the Cubs in and there’s also still time to finish in 3rd or 4th place….

Busy all day helping my son and his girl friend move to a new apartment. Looks like I did not miss much. Outscored 19-4 in the series yet don’t get swept. That takes some doing!
