The box for last night’s game indicated a gate of about 25K which is obviously infalted in contrast to actual turnstile clicks, but I don’t guess it was too bad for a Monday. Tonight looks skinny and I would have thought more fans would have shown up to see this Detroit CYA winner take his turn in the Tiger rotation. Especially after the recent Redbird upswing and surge in the standings. I think it was booyah who said he didn’t think the Redbird faithful were quite ready to return en masse. Turns out, it looks like he was right.
May 20, 2025 at 7:07 pm #282842I’m going out on a limb. Arenado goes yard.
May 20, 2025 at 7:10 pm #282843Haha!…I could have done that…
May 20, 2025 at 7:13 pm #282844We’re living on the OF track so far tonight.
May 20, 2025 at 7:16 pm #282845
jj-cf-stlParticipantWe are taking more to center and RF now. That should pay dividends.
May 20, 2025 at 7:23 pm #282846
jj-cf-stlParticipantWell, if they’re going to slug for Skubal….
May 20, 2025 at 7:37 pm #282847Probably looking at an “L” tonight. Skubal is one of the best, and while Fedde has had his moments he is not in Skubal’s class.
May 20, 2025 at 7:45 pm #282848Skubal’s fastball looks unhittable. 100 MPH from a lefty isnt’ fair. You can easily see why this guy has won a Cy Young and may win a couple of more in his career.
The best bet for the Cards is go up there and foul pitches off to drive up the pitch count to get to the pen.
May 20, 2025 at 7:48 pm #282849Would you guys back the dump truck full of money to Skubal’s house in 2 years if he does reach FA. He would be 30 years old when he reaches FA
May 20, 2025 at 7:51 pm #282850Well that helps. Herrera with a bloop hit that should have been caught and Arenado with a torpedo HR.
May 20, 2025 at 7:52 pm #282851Haha…KCB is a genuine baseball gypsy…Nado with the 2 run TATER to cut the lead in half!
May 20, 2025 at 7:52 pm #282852I’m going out on a limb. Arenado goes yard
Pats self on back
May 20, 2025 at 7:52 pm #282853Nice call KCB.
May 20, 2025 at 7:53 pm #282854
jj-cf-stlParticipantNado joins the “homer vs a lefty” club with his first for the season.
May 20, 2025 at 7:55 pm #282855Haha…I hear the Twilight Zone jingle! Hey, KCB, are you heading to Vegas anytime soon?
May 20, 2025 at 7:56 pm #282856Arenado is wound tight. Moving him down takes some pressure off.
May 20, 2025 at 7:56 pm #282857Nice…Scott with the 2 out BB. KCB needs to call the SB…
May 20, 2025 at 7:57 pm #282858Are Skubal’s pants just way tighter than most pitchers or his legs just so giant he makes other player look like they have twigs?
May 20, 2025 at 8:00 pm #282859
jj-cf-stlParticipantThere were pitches Scott could have chased. Small steps.
May 20, 2025 at 8:00 pm #282860Yeah, Skubal has that beefy lower half. Gets a lot of the power on his pitches from his lower torso and legs.
May 20, 2025 at 8:02 pm #282861Arenado makes it look easy at third a lot of times.
Matz has been good in this role.
May 20, 2025 at 8:08 pm #282863Matz has been great in that role. I wouldn’t mind trying to fit even more innings in for him.
May 20, 2025 at 8:09 pm #282864I’ll try to pull a KCB and call a right CF double from Herrera
May 20, 2025 at 8:10 pm #282865There’s a reason I don’t gamble Dom.
May 20, 2025 at 8:11 pm #282866Herrera with an oppo field single for another run. I’ll take it. General spot of the field was close to right at least
