jj-cf-stlParticipantWe usually score well for Gray.
May 19, 2025 at 8:14 pm #282740I was checking runs scored by each Cards and then compared against the league leaders. Shohei is is crazy. 50 runs scored in 45 games played. I wonder if he can pass Jeff Bagwell’s 152 which is the best for single season leaders since integration.

jj-cf-stlParticipant5 in the books and rain in mid-Mo. Nice lead.
May 19, 2025 at 8:23 pm #282742He may not need much help from the bats tonight…His line’s looking pretty good with 0 ER’s allowed on only 3 hits, along with 10 K’s and 1 BB thru 6 full. He’s looking like Robert G.
May 19, 2025 at 8:24 pm #282743Gray with 3 Ks that inning. I imagine that is all for him with 90 pitches. Great start overall. I think from here I turn it over to Graceffo and tell him get me 3 innings. That can keep the pen fresh for the last 2 games and you can turn it over to them if you need to earlier in closer games.
May 19, 2025 at 8:26 pm #282744I guess Gray figures he owes the boys one for getting him off the hook in his last turn in Philly. What a difference a day…er, uh, five days make…
May 19, 2025 at 8:27 pm #282745Burly with another hit with that 2B
May 19, 2025 at 8:28 pm #282746Haha…Burleson’s making Shady proud with both his bat and his blazing speed on the basepaths!
May 19, 2025 at 8:35 pm #282747Cubs were ahead 7-6 in the last of the 9th with two outs and the bases empty.
Then a double.
Then a walk.
Then a double.Miami wins 8-7.
Hee hee hee!
May 19, 2025 at 8:35 pm #282749Marlins just walked of a win against the Cubs in the bottom of the 9th.
May 19, 2025 at 8:35 pm #282750That is great news Rats. I wasn’t keeping up but really good to see the Cubs lost to the lowly Marlins.
May 19, 2025 at 8:37 pm #282751It’s about time those Cubbies lost to a 2nd division team. That’s all they’ve been playing lately.
May 19, 2025 at 8:38 pm #282752
jj-cf-stlParticipantOur top 3 have 6 hits and 4 runs scored
May 19, 2025 at 8:38 pm #282753It looks like we have about 10 minutes before the rain pushes the rest of this game to tomorrow
May 19, 2025 at 8:39 pm #282754The ballpark may get hammered in a minute or two. We just had a short-lived but intense deluge that included some hail about 18 miles west of downtown.
May 19, 2025 at 8:43 pm #282755That double puts Donovan in a tie for the NL in doubles at 16. He has been a doubles machine this year.
May 19, 2025 at 8:43 pm #282756Rain delay as Jnevel and 1TD called it.
May 19, 2025 at 8:45 pm #282757It’s possible they will have a pseudo window between 9:30 and 10:30 . . . Maybe
May 19, 2025 at 8:50 pm #282759Looks like more’s on the way. I spent about 3 hours Saturday morning cutting up some downed limbs as a result of high winds from a storm on Friday afternoon. It was nice and cool out there early on Saturday morning, but cutting all that mess down into bite size pieces that I could handle was still no fun. If wet is all we get tonight, I’ll be happy…Haha!
May 19, 2025 at 9:10 pm #282762FYI,
My gravel thievery went off without a hitch. I guess time will tell if the police show up sometime tomorrow.r/Esteemed Rat
May 19, 2025 at 9:10 pm #282763They are getting the tarp off the field.
Depending on when they get this thing going again, they will probably have a 45-minute to an hour window to finish this game before the next system rolls in.#STLCards #ForTheLou pic.twitter.com/FOOuo0HvCB— Matt Pauley 🎙️ (@MattPauleyOnAir) May 20, 2025

May 19, 2025 at 9:17 pm #282766Haha!…They won’t show up tomorrow, Rat. For a high profile gravel heist, they’ll strike in the dead of night while you and Whitey Herdog are asleep…I’ll be seeing you on CNN…
May 19, 2025 at 9:29 pm #282768I’m calling for the powers that be to call off the dogs in this one. 11-0 in the 7th more than qualifies this as a “call off the dogs” game. As much as I relish trouncing these guys, the team needs to show a modicum of mercy here and take the ole’ foot off the pedal.
