With Burly, Pages, Pozo on 2nd, I would like to see Scott take off from home and run the bases to see if he can catch them.
Yeah 1TD I would have taken the chance as well. I know Burly isn’t slow, but it is worth the risk there.
Great start by Gray so far. His breaking ball is looking great and his pitch count is at a good 54 pitches through 4 innings. He should be able to go 6 innings unless he runs into really bad trouble.
Yeah, Albert, he’s running as soon as the pitcher goes home and that play was right in front of the baserunner rounding 2B. Then the baseball bounced a good 25 ft. away from the diving LF’er. Wave him on home. If he’s thrown out it’s still a good call to try to score the run.
1TD, I looked it up and in May Burly is hitting .306/.342/.667 with 4 HRs. That slugging is exactly what we need out of Burly
Yeah, Albert, he wasn’t producing early on, but seems to have turned the proverbial corner. He’s demonstrated in the past that he can hit. And Shady will back me up on that…Haha!
Montero has to be upset. He has got 6 ground balls this inning with 3 of them being weakly hit, but he has given up 3 runs this inning so far.
