When you’re hot, you’re blistering!
May 10, 2025 at 3:33 pm #281635Let’s hit em with double digit tallies again today…..while keeping them off the board…….ah maybe we should let them score 1 run so not to show them up too bad in front of their hometown faithful.
May 10, 2025 at 3:33 pm #281636Whoa!…I just saw Carter’s post and it’s no wonder the the Cardinals are SMOKIN’!
May 10, 2025 at 3:33 pm #281637Does Andre Pallante’s skillset remind anyone of Dakota Hudson? Both are extreme GB specialists but really struggle with command, fall behind in counts, and walk way more than a GB specialist should with very weak K%. Hudson’s command was probably even a little worse though, but I can see Pallante’s continuing to increase as hitters learn to lay off until he grooves one down the middle
May 10, 2025 at 3:35 pm #281638That’s Carter’s wonderful wifey, TD.
May 10, 2025 at 3:38 pm #281639I didn’t think this team was going anywhere. Vic Scott and Libby are starting to change my mind, as they have the complexion of this team.
May 10, 2025 at 3:39 pm #281640Pallante induces 3 consecutive weak infield ground ball outs in the 2nd…..just 19 pitches through 2 complete.
May 10, 2025 at 3:40 pm #281641How does the DC team explain going from a red uniform to one that’s powder blue? It’s silly. I really miss the Expos.
May 10, 2025 at 3:40 pm #281642Not only is good hitting contagious, but quite possibly good pitching as well.
May 10, 2025 at 3:42 pm #281643How does the DC team explain going from a red uniform to one that’s powder blue? It’s silly. I really miss the Expos.
Powder blue doesn’t make sense. You think for a team in the nation’s capital named the Nationals, their colors would be Old Glory Blue, Old Glory Red, and white
May 10, 2025 at 3:45 pm #281644I really miss the Expos.
Me too, TD. Jerry Park…..John Boccabellllla…….Rusty Staub…..Boots Day…..great era!
May 10, 2025 at 3:46 pm #281645Yeah, I agree Albert, but those colors might offend somebody…
May 10, 2025 at 3:49 pm #281648Your new sizzling red hot squeeze, Carter?

Mabey in my sizzling disco days
May 10, 2025 at 3:49 pm #281649Pallante really looks like he knows what he’s doing out there….in total command of matters.
May 10, 2025 at 3:50 pm #281650Donny keeps the no-no intact.
May 10, 2025 at 3:51 pm #281651Not too long ago I saw a photo on a website that’s devoted to baseball stuff that pictured Carter, Dawson and Raines standing together with their manager Dick Williams. That’s four HOF’ers. I don’t know how the Expos never won anything because they fielded some great teams over the years. And I really liked their home whites!
May 10, 2025 at 3:54 pm #281652Burly with a leadoff base knock to left. We could use 1……maybe 3 or 4 insurance tallies here in the 4th.
May 10, 2025 at 4:03 pm #281653I was just going to mention how well Scott’s perfomong this season and that he’s on the cusp of a .300 avg. but that was a lousy decision to lay down a bunt for a base hit with a RISP and 2 outs. I mean, he’s swinging the bat really well and already has an RBI base hit this afternoon. He needs to swing away and try to push that run across.
May 10, 2025 at 4:04 pm #281654Cards don’t dent the 4th inning scoreboard.
*Correction…….some erroneous information was handed my way……Pallante does not have a no-no going. He gave up a hit to James Wood in the 1st. But once again, he mows down the Nats with the greatest of ease in the 4th.
May 10, 2025 at 4:06 pm #281655John Jay is a dead ringer for Barack Obama with those shades on.
May 10, 2025 at 4:09 pm #281656Donny with a “blistering” double down the line in left!
May 10, 2025 at 4:10 pm #281657The graphic at the bottom of my screen has the Cardinals represented as navy blue and the DC team represented as bright red. It conjures up an image of an owl flying backwards in the daytime yelling, “what, what, what?”
May 10, 2025 at 4:11 pm #281658And by “blistering” Pugs means he could have outrun the ball.
May 10, 2025 at 4:21 pm #281659Pallante has been night and day difference between this start and his last one.
May 10, 2025 at 4:23 pm #281660I agree Jnevel. Pallante is pitching much better today and showing some command.
