Let’s hit em with double digit tallies again today…..while keeping them off the board…….ah maybe we should let them score 1 run so not to show them up too bad in front of their hometown faithful.

Does Andre Pallante’s skillset remind anyone of Dakota Hudson? Both are extreme GB specialists but really struggle with command, fall behind in counts, and walk way more than a GB specialist should with very weak K%. Hudson’s command was probably even a little worse though, but I can see Pallante’s continuing to increase as hitters learn to lay off until he grooves one down the middle

    That’s Carter’s wonderful wifey, TD.

I didn’t think this team was going anywhere. Vic Scott and Libby are starting to change my mind, as they have the complexion of this team.

Pallante induces 3 consecutive weak infield ground ball outs in the 2nd…..just 19 pitches through 2 complete.

How does the DC team explain going from a red uniform to one that’s powder blue? It’s silly. I really miss the Expos.

Not only is good hitting contagious, but quite possibly good pitching as well.

Powder blue doesn’t make sense. You think for a team in the nation’s capital named the Nationals, their colors would be Old Glory Blue, Old Glory Red, and white

Yeah, I agree Albert, but those colors might offend somebody…

Pallante really looks like he knows what he’s doing out there….in total command of matters.

    Donny keeps the no-no intact.

Not too long ago I saw a photo on a website that’s devoted to baseball stuff that pictured Carter, Dawson and Raines standing together with their manager Dick Williams. That’s four HOF’ers. I don’t know how the Expos never won anything because they fielded some great teams over the years. And I really liked their home whites!

Burly with a leadoff base knock to left. We could use 1……maybe 3 or 4 insurance tallies here in the 4th.

I was just going to mention how well Scott’s perfomong this season and that he’s on the cusp of a .300 avg. but that was a lousy decision to lay down a bunt for a base hit with a RISP and 2 outs. I mean, he’s swinging the bat really well and already has an RBI base hit this afternoon. He needs to swing away and try to push that run across.

Cards don’t dent the 4th inning scoreboard.

*Correction…….some erroneous information was handed my way……Pallante does not have a no-no going. He gave up a hit to James Wood in the 1st. But once again, he mows down the Nats with the greatest of ease in the 4th.

Donny with a “blistering” double down the line in left!

The graphic at the bottom of my screen has the Cardinals represented as navy blue and the DC team represented as bright red. It conjures up an image of an owl flying backwards in the daytime yelling, “what, what, what?”

And by “blistering” Pugs means he could have outrun the ball.

Pallante has been night and day difference between this start and his last one.

I agree Jnevel. Pallante is pitching much better today and showing some command.
