Gorman always looks like a genuine natural when he connects. When, being the watchword.
April 21, 2025 at 6:39 pm #280061Nice…Braves kicking the baseball around.
April 21, 2025 at 6:41 pm #280062Scott with the bonus RBI from the 9 slot…2-0.

jj-cf-stlParticipantBottom of the order creates 2 runs.
April 21, 2025 at 6:42 pm #280064SB creates a nice 2 out RBI chance for the Nootz.

jj-cf-stlParticipantChased
April 21, 2025 at 6:52 pm #280066I couldn’t help but to take a look at the box for yesterday’s 24-2 Reds/Orioles final. I was a little surprised to see that the Reds scored those 24 runs on “only” 25 hits. A closer look revealed that they were also gifted 11 BB’s and amassed 44 TB’s during the game…Haha!

36.00The season ERA’s for the 5 Oriole pitchers who were thrown to the lions on Easter Sunday.
April 21, 2025 at 7:02 pm #280068That was quick.
April 21, 2025 at 7:03 pm #280069It never takes too long for things to change in the game of baseball.

jj-cf-stlParticipant49 pitches after 3 for Fedde
Tied 2-2April 21, 2025 at 7:06 pm #280071Unassisted GIDP by the 1B’man. That’s somewhat rare.
April 21, 2025 at 7:22 pm #280072
jj-cf-stlParticipantA couple of doubles by Noot and Donny, right atem’
April 21, 2025 at 7:33 pm #280073
jj-cf-stlParticipantNado doubles and Gorman drives him in, 3-2 StL
Walker hustlingApril 21, 2025 at 7:36 pm #280074Gorman with a nice night at the plate so far.
April 21, 2025 at 7:39 pm #280075
jj-cf-stlParticipantFedde’s pitch count is not that bad. Still need outs.
April 21, 2025 at 7:40 pm #280076Unassisted GIDP by the 1B’man. That’s somewhat rare.
This reminds me of something I read a couple days ago, so I’ll throw it out as a trivia question. Shouldn’t be too hard. It was described as the rarest play in baseball. Has happened even fewer times than a perfect game. What is it?
April 21, 2025 at 7:43 pm #280077Unassisted triple play?
April 21, 2025 at 7:45 pm #280078
jj-cf-stlParticipantFedde at 84 pitches with the bottom three due up. Dom, I’d let him try to go thru their order 3 times.
April 21, 2025 at 7:45 pm #280079I guess everyone took notice when in the 3rd inning Donovan laid down a sac bunt with no outs to push Contreras over to 2B and into scoring position. Maybe this is a silly question, but since when does your 3 slot hitter lay down a sac-bunt with 0 outs with his team leading by a score of 2-0 in the 3rd inning? That’s right…the 3 slot hitter. We’re watching a team led by a manager and coaches who exist in some sort of alternate baseball universe. It’s not at all unlike some sort of eerie Rod Serling type baseball dimension…If I didn’t know better, I’d guess that Timothy Leary was situated on the top step of the Redbird dugout. It’s WAY out there, man!
April 21, 2025 at 7:46 pm #280080Unassisted triple play?
Outstanding, Jnevel.
And now for full credit, name the 15 guys who have pulled off this feat…and no cheating/googling, haha!
Just kidding.
April 21, 2025 at 7:50 pm #280081I couldn’t even name one Euro. I don’t think I’ve ever personally watched one happen.
April 21, 2025 at 7:51 pm #280082
jj-cf-stlParticipantLeahy in the 7th
April 21, 2025 at 7:52 pm #280083That surprises me. Although the circumstances would obviously have to be near perfect in order to place the play into the box score, if someone would have asked, I would have guessed that there’s been more than 15 unassisted triple plays.
April 21, 2025 at 7:53 pm #280084If there’s only been 15 unassisted triple plays, I’m guessing that Brooks completed at least 5 of them…
