That fastball from Leahy looked almost above the letters and Vientos still tomahawked it over the LF wall.
April 18, 2025 at 8:04 pm #279811Well, it’s tied and late. The Cardinals are 0-3 in 1 run games and 0-4 in extras. That means this one’s in the bank…
April 18, 2025 at 8:15 pm #279812Jo Jo can’t find HP with that poodle under his cap.
April 18, 2025 at 8:16 pm #279813Thought Romero would go breaking ball down and in to Alonso. Stayed away and lost him. Probably afraid to hang one or get it a little up where Polar Bear would be able to drive it.
April 18, 2025 at 8:17 pm #279814Ha I’m curious if he has had that poodle cut at all since joining the Cards
April 18, 2025 at 8:23 pm #279815That area must be in a flight pattern as the Mets have always had that going on. We have an AFB out here where me and the lovely Lady Bike hang out, and it can get annoying at times.
April 18, 2025 at 8:25 pm #279816Contreras with a weak attempt to coax a walk from the ump, but that one was “right down central” as Mike Shannon used to say.
April 18, 2025 at 8:33 pm #279817Wonder why no one slides feet first anymore? Must be metrics that show you can get to the bag just a bit quicker and better using the hands to grab the base and avoid the tag.
April 18, 2025 at 8:39 pm #279818Maton’s pitches kind of hanging tonight. Mets are taking advantage.
April 18, 2025 at 8:42 pm #279819Citi-Field was constructed in almost the precise location as where old Shea once stood which is still in close proximity to LaGuardia airport. I’d have to guess that the noise isn’t quite as bad as it once was only because over the years manufacturers of jet airline engines have been required to design engines that are quieter.
April 18, 2025 at 8:43 pm #279820Need at least 2 runs.
April 18, 2025 at 8:46 pm #279821Yeah, you are probably correct 1TD. I have hearing loss and am sensitive to sound. Those cars that people make extra loud on purpose drive me nuts! I hate that, but then I am an old guy now. Back in my younger days maybe I thought it would have been cool as I had a pretty nice muscle car back in the day.
Donovan is our MVP early on!
April 18, 2025 at 8:46 pm #279822
jj-cf-stlParticipantDonny ties it up 4-4
April 18, 2025 at 8:46 pm #279823NICE…There’s one of them! Donovan with the solo tater to tie it up!
April 18, 2025 at 8:50 pm #279824Saggese with Julian Javier’s old number, and of course Big Mac’s. Goes down swinging. As does Pedro.
April 18, 2025 at 8:52 pm #27982515 times the Cardinals have fallen victim to the strikeout tonight
April 18, 2025 at 8:53 pm #279826Well this one doesn’t look good going into the bottom the of the 9th or extras. Cards have been horrible this year in close games
April 18, 2025 at 8:53 pm #279827Yeah, no question that Donovan’s far and away the team MVP at this stage. He leads both leagues in hits. Teams are going to really take notice.
April 18, 2025 at 8:53 pm #279828With a 7-man bullpen, Cardinals turning to their 5th one in the 9th.
April 18, 2025 at 8:54 pm #279829Game over…
April 18, 2025 at 8:54 pm #279830Well at least we all knew when it went this late in the game so close the Cards were going to lose it
April 18, 2025 at 8:55 pm #279831You called it, Albert. I thought the law of averges may help us out, but…well, we saw what happened.
April 18, 2025 at 8:57 pm #279832Yeah Jnevel 5 RP used tonight. Need Liberatore to give us 6 at least tomorrow and 7 would be really nice
April 18, 2025 at 9:00 pm #279833Boy, Lindor turned on that pitch like he was mad at it.
April 18, 2025 at 9:04 pm #279834
jj-cf-stlParticipant2-4 vs lefty starters
