With the lefties due up we need him back out there.

Maybe it’s my imagination, but I think 98% of starting pitchers have extremely long legs. Manute Bol might have missed his true calling as a Hall of Fame hurler vs an NBA reserve.

Pitching is more legs than arm actually so it makes sense to target long legged individuals for pitchers.

John Gant looked like uncle Sam on his stilts.

An unusually low scoring Cards-Phils series. With only a few more innings to go, the Cards have tallied just 5 runs in this series and Philadelphia only 4. A far cry from the Albert Pujols – Ryan Howard series’.

Really good start by Liberatore as he out-dueled Zach Wheeler today. He is making me not look stupid for saying the last 2 years he needs to be in the rotation.

Oh my…..7 Libby K’s and no runs in 6 innings of labor. Maybe he’s seen the light and is on his way to grandiose things.

Good to see Contreras get off the schneid. We need him to get on a tear and earn some of that $18M.

Castellanos ends a third inning today.

Kind of hard to believe that Burly has yet to eclipse an outfield wall with bat in hand this year. Maybe he’ll do it in the 8th today?

Donny with the double and Arenado with a 2 hit game driving in the run.

Donovan & Arenado with consecutive 1 out doubles lengthens the St. Louis advantage to 3-0 here in the 6th…..and looking for more. Let’s pad this puppy to at least 4-0 shall we.

That was an interesting ground rule double by Gorman. I don’t recall the last time I saw one like that in that area with such a big hop.

It’s the Nolan and Nolan show here with each getting an RBI double.

Me too Albert……very unusual chalk rising bloop ground rule 2 bagger to left for our 4-0 lead.

Maton through 8 1/3 innings of work this season has whiffed 10 with 0 walks and yielded 0 runs on just 4 hits…..pretty darn impressive!

Another quiet inning from Maton. Contact or K is working.

Stramm on in relief now……and check out that bulky beard out, TD, Albert & JJ!! It makes Marsh’s mug look like Don Knotts’.

Pozo’s hitting is just a plus. I really like his pitch calling. He’s earned playing time.

This one is now turning into a laugher as it’s 5-0 Cards with 0 outs and a man at 2nd. Let’s get 3 more and then we’ll call off the dogs on these Philadelphians.

On second glance it’s not Stramm’s beard that’s so shaggy, but rather his hair. The guy definitely needs a trim, as he looks like a hippie straight out of the 60’s.

Carlos Eduardo Hernandez on to toe the Philadelphia rubber in the 8th……and Arenado promptly greets him with a long drive to center, but not quite long enough. Then Contreras lines a blast off the base of the left field wall for a double and Carlos Eduardo is fooling nobody yet here this inning.

I was going to say that it would be a shame if we didn’t get any runs this inning with the hard hit balls that Hernandez has surrendered and then Walker clobbers a homer to make it 8-0.

Walker absolutely destroys a Carlos Eduardo offering to the seats in left! 7-0 now……..definitely time to call of the dogs as we’ve thoroughly throttled these Phillies on this fine Sunday afternoon.
