jj-cf-stlParticipantTwo errors on one play?
Sometimes it’s better just having the radio broadcast.August 1, 2025 at 9:55 pm #289306
jj-cf-stlParticipantExtended inning taking it’s toll.
K somebody.August 1, 2025 at 9:58 pm #289307Wow – talk about a fragile psyche. You know, I dont like a single starting pitcher we have. Not one
Gray is shot and all the others are #4 or #5 guys at best.
Really disgusting.
August 1, 2025 at 9:59 pm #289308Liberatore is clearly weak mentally.
August 1, 2025 at 10:03 pm #289309…..and Svanson comes in and promptly s**ts the bed….
August 1, 2025 at 10:05 pm #289310Good Lord.
Pozo needs to drop at least 30 pounds.
Wow is he really the best we have?
August 1, 2025 at 10:09 pm #289311I know others have said this but good grief offensively we are absolutely horrible.
Of course the pitching isn’t good either …
I think the only thing we do well is damage out all you can eat buffets. Definitely some all-star appetites on the roster.
August 1, 2025 at 10:10 pm #289312Well the wheels fell off the bus there. I mean Libby didn’t get out of the jam, but he still looks like at least a #3 pitcher to me
August 1, 2025 at 10:10 pm #2893134-1 Padres after 5 1/2
August 1, 2025 at 10:11 pm #289314I do get sick of the toxic positivity of our announcers. Brad Thompson is the worst but Chip isn’t far behind. They are afraid to be the least bit critical….
August 1, 2025 at 10:14 pm #289315I guess he can be a #3 for a bad team – sure I’ll give him that. I don’t think he is on a good team though…
August 1, 2025 at 10:18 pm #289316I’m of the basic mindset expressed by ZTR in the sense that I’ve always thought that a pitcher should possess the sort of mentality that dictates he has the ability to dial up a little extra focus and concentration needed to work around an E to not only eliminate the unearned run, but to also pick up his teammate that committed the Das Boot. A first rate pitcher consistently demonstrates the ability to do so. Others remind me of the song recorded by Patsy Cline in the sense that they, “Fall to Pieces”…
August 1, 2025 at 10:20 pm #2893178-17 in July.
Look like 0-1 in August.
52 games to go – I bet we finish the season 6-8 games under ,500. Just a slow fade to 2025 baseball oblivion….
We’re not allowed a top 10 pick either are we? All the stink and none of the benefits, lol.
August 1, 2025 at 10:24 pm #289318I can’t really blame Marmol and I don’t think he’s done a horrible job but why does he always have that little smirk on his face?
It’s like he farted on the elevator just as he’s stepping out…
August 1, 2025 at 10:27 pm #289319Looks like we have some guys that can pitch well with no pressure at 3-4 runs behind. The true test is can you pitch in a one or two run game.
August 1, 2025 at 10:30 pm #289320Do we have the worst record in baseball the past 4-5 weeks? Seems like it.
August 1, 2025 at 10:31 pm #289321Winn picks up our 2nd hit of the game here on the 8th inning. Lol
August 1, 2025 at 10:32 pm #289322In regards to Pozo, I’ve seen quite a bit of chatter related to his ability to swing the bat. I’m a little reluctant to declare him a skilled hitter. I mean, he’s 28 years old and has yet to step into a Big League batter’s box 200 times. In light of the Redbird rotation woes, every time I see him stand in for a PA, I think maybe it would be a good idea to try to convert him into a pitcher. A Bartolo Colon type guy…
August 1, 2025 at 10:36 pm #2893231st and 3rd – nobody out.
Can the Cardinals score a run here?
No, they can’t Walker Ks and the Pillsbury dough boy hits into a double play.
You can’t make this stuff up.
August 1, 2025 at 10:38 pm #289324If Gorman makes a better throw to 1B, or if Contreras catches Gorman’s wide throw, the score is still 1-1. And as per comments above, if Liberatore doesn’t buckle, the score is still 1-1.
August 1, 2025 at 10:38 pm #289325Look at that crowd in SD. Now think about the ghost town Busch Stadium has become.
At this point – Is there even a single thing this organization does well?
I can’t think of a thing.
August 1, 2025 at 10:39 pm #289326And Gorman just made his second error of the night.
August 1, 2025 at 10:40 pm #289327And Fernandez tries a pickoff and air mails it.
Is his ERA really 11+?
August 1, 2025 at 10:41 pm #289328One run through eight innings tonight.
Anybody know why?
BDW,
Surely you will at least try and find us a bat this off-season.August 1, 2025 at 10:43 pm #2893294-1 SD after 8.
So, we have scored 1 run in the last 3 games?
